i was wondering if there could be and easier way to get better mount when you dont have crystal or gold

Lol, what mount are you on because 200 MuT and you are gauranteed pretty much to get from Baby Turtle with all the quest mounts up to Battle Bear. On most servers (old ones at least) MuT's are worth absolutely nothing, your friends will also have extras they don't need so ask them even if they haven't suggested I bet they'd be more than happy to help if they are truly a real friend.
