A trash zone

when in AFK you wish to get rid of unwanted gear or potions i reccomend there be a trash spot right above buy crystal where you can slide what you dont want into it and it will destoy the item. Right now the problem is your droping stuff to get rid of space but then your auto pickup recieves it back. im not saying you would have to do it as i wrote but it would be nice to have a place where i can drag my stuff and delete it as opposed to fighting to get rid of it.

Or another button there to click on, which will allow you to click on items to get rid of in your inventory, similar to the Sell for npc vendors- with confirmation for each item, of course.

Not a bad idea. But that's what you use the "Loot Items" and "Loot Equipment" and set them to green or blue items only

I was more in favor of the idea for those times when I forget to sell my loot between dungeon runs and end up with a full bag right as a boss drops its loot.

i'd still stick with the sell options where your sold items appear in the npc shop but after a certain while you can't buy the items you sold again

but either way, it couldn't hurt you to have a trash zone. It would be very useful when you need to make space fast. The worst it does is cost the player money from the item he didn't sell which don't sell for much anyway.
