I vote for only self buffing in Avernal Realm!

This won't help much because almost everyone gets their alts or guildies to buff themselves right before AR starts. Buffs last for 30 mins, and so does AR, so unless the person dies, he/she can still maintain the buffs throughout the whole AR. Self-buff-only must be paired with blessed bath's buff-dispelled-upon-enter effect to yield any significant balancing.

I agree that the buffs should be exclusive in Avernal. The reason I say it should be this way, is for this purpose and this purpose alone. All the mods say that priest are OP as it is, this is mainly due to thier buffs, they can walk around with them on all the time. It's always funny that when talking about the other classes they never mention their Priest alts keeping them buffed at all times. They claim the system is balance when truely from a non-player perspective it is. But in use the system is totally broken, every scion DPS I know has their own priest alt or a friend to keep them buffed, this is skewing the system alot. I believe that these buffs should be made exclusive to the priest and their respective party members.
By making the buff only affect those in a party much like the Knights HP buff, no one in avernal would be able to benifit from it other than the caster himself. This would also make PVP situations more equal too. I have been at gotor many of times and buffed the wrong people. So i say again Make the buffs party exclusive.

I mean that they can't get buffs unless they can cast them on themselves. All buffs removed upon entrance.

You're right Guardian's Protection & Circle of Power both sais that increases PARTY MEMBERS Defences / Attack. So yeah the buffs aren't working correctly. Only Heavenly Protection sais that Gives attribute boots to all friendlies in the area, what also should be remade to affect party members only imo..

Sorry, there are current 2 suggestions here: removing buffs upon entering and self-buff in AR. And your previous post looks like you only vote for the second suggestion only xD

Well Buffs should be removed on entering anything, I think it is unfair that every wants to claim priest have the advantage in PVE, which is why they refuse to tweak the class to allow it some PVP gains. So I say why should all these classes that are pvp oriented allowed our so called advantages, even when we are not in their presence. I for one am tired of being hounded to " Buff Pls" only to turn around and get pwnd and taunted by the same people in Avernal. Every time we mention fixing the priest they all wanna tell us, If you wanna pvp you should have been a different class. So why should they be able to have our buff by chance or purpose anytime we are in a given area. That is just giving our sole reason for being denied combat abilities, so why should the people with combat abilities be allowed to have them.

Because the primary role of a priest is support. It is your duty to buff people. Especially your party members.
If you want to win Avernal, then you do need to be a Mage or Rogue. Simple. You gain benefits elsewhere where Rogues do not. So it's pretty even to me.

Fact is that the class itself has so many flaws in it, what I don't understand is why GMs won't even try to fix the flaws? Could some GM enlighten me a bit about this..?

Because those "flaws" are the results of them trying to "balance" the game from the original version and its OP skills. So of course they are "balanced" and not "flaws" to them :P

Wish I'd have a better pc, so I could record myself using (some of) those skills and show the HUGE benefits from them!

What exactly is your point there pat? I don't get it. 1st, 3rd or 100th in AR DOES make a difference. And what is with the part " make a level 100 priest friend and ask em to buff you before hand" there? The people who are supporting this thread are all peiests, we don't need someone else to buff us. What we are trying to say here is that: priest's only advantage (buff) is accessible by other classes as well, thus puts us at major disadvantage in AR. The suggestion is to remove all buffs upon entering just like blessed bath (so you can keep elixir buffs but not priest's buffs), and to make buffs self-exclusive inside AR.

Honestly, from reading your post, I'm wondering if you even know what is being suggested/discussed in this thread or not =.=

Hopefully one day GMs will realize that yes our only "advantage" is our buffs, what tho applies to anyone near us instead of even being for party members only like the description sais..:')
