So, I was playing in S58 yesterday, and I saw these group of players arguing for no reason. And would not stop when other players asked them to, so I thought of an idea... Now keep in mind it's only a thought.... But seen as how the GMs Can't always monitor what goes on in every game, I thought that you R2 GMs could implement PMs (Player Moderators).... Now there doesn't have to be too many PMs... I'd say 3 or 4 per server (Merged Servers get 4-6)... This could reduce some of the problems that go on in the servers, and would, in my opinion, assist the GMs quite a lot.... So, fellow player's and GMs... I want to know what you think.... Keep in mind though,, its only a suggestion.... Make sure to keep your replies PG....

So first, I want to know what powers you would give these "player moderators"? The power to do what?
I ask this because if they have no real powers, then you have the problem that, they really will not be able to control anyone.
So, you give them the power to mute right? But the problem with this is, that it would have to be someone active, that would be willing to "police" the chats in their server. So, what is stopping those players, that are already active in their servers, from just randomly handing out mutes to anyone that annoys them in any way. A rival guild. Someone grinding on top of them. Beggars. Someone who insulted them but did not really break any rules in the process.
That is the thing, there are so many things that would have to be worried about. Any power that these people are given could, and most likely would be abused. Not to mention that you would be hard pressed to find people that would want to spend the time that they have during the day to play the game, that are willing to police the chats the whole time that they are on. They would not be able to stay in party chat, or have an important conversation in guild chat. Overall, it would just kinda suck.
But there is a solution to this, if you notice that there is excessive obscenities in your chat, or bullying, or whatever that you believe needs to be addressed then you can send a Mod a private message, here on the forums, and let them know about what is happening. It would also help if you have a time of day that it tends to happen most. Then a Mod can either talk to a GM about monitoring the chats, or handle it themselves. Either way. It will eventually get handled.
There are Mods that pop into my server often. We are used to it now, and because of the warnings, and because of mutes handed out in the past, people on my server group tend to watch their language and what they say in chat more now that they know a Mod might be watching. Just the thought that they might be watching is enough to make people not speak to bad in chat.Server: (S39) Erie Marsh

Here are the powers that I thought would be useful and helpful as well:
1. Muting abilities- To keep order on the server and prevent further problems
2..Temp-Ban- To make sure that those causing problems often are stopped
PM restrictions
Separate Character- So that the PMs can have a work character, and a playtime character (To ensure work and play are separated)
Strict Recruiting Guidelines- To ensure top-notch, honest, and active PMs
These guidelines are:
1. Must be active in whatever game your PM in (Logging into your PM character at least 5-6 times a week)
2. Must have good standing with R2Games and their rules
3. Must also be an active forum member
4. Must have been with R2 for at least 1 year
5. List of any games you have been a PM on, as well as some sort of proof (a picture may or may not qualify at R2's discretion)
6. Must be 18 years of age or older
7. Must have no previous mutes, or any such consequences on any of your characters.
These are the set of guidelines I thought might be needed should they consider my idea.... And as I said, its simply a thought.... I love R2 no matter what happens.Game:Crystal Saga

Mmm... Well, this is not really necessary, though in my opinion a nice suggestion.
Players in-game are most of the time well-mannered and stern enough that you fellows could already govern your own servers.
Hacks, spammers and scammers are another issue though. But yes, if you see them, you simply screenshot and attach it to a ticket and a GM swoops in and take them away! Uh... If there's a GM around that is ahaha.
Useless
...but actually does something like stalk every word you post
