Same Sex Marriage

I personally think we should be able to marry the same sex. Ive had many many people agree. This would not only be better for the players but hey CS you can make more money from people getting married. Please make this an option in the game. Boy, boys, girls, girls who cares its not like these people love eachother

This has been brought up already, and right now they can't do it, but have been looking for a way around the original coding of the game (which did not allow for same-sex marriage).

Not sure. It sounds more like they don't really know. A lot of the GMs have stated they do not discriminate against this sort of thing and would like to see it implemented. They simply have other things to worry about at the moment making this not a top priority.

I do understand why marriages currently require a male and a female character- if you've done the marriage quests it is quite obvious. And, that might be the problem with implementing same gender character marriages. One set of quests is designed for 'her', while the other half is designed for 'him'. Having two hers or two hims, well that might confuse the system.

Tying who gets which quests in with who did the proposing might work, except they'd have to rewrite a lot of the gender specific dialogue. And then of course the 'title' of 'so and so's wife/husband' might be a bit of an issue. Though it's possible that part is written to go along with character gender..

Anyway, point I'm trying to make is it's a lot of work. They gave us an easy way with providing a sex change capsule, but maybe down the road they'll find a way to make gender not matter with the marriage quests.

Why can't two male characters get married? Why can't you say gay without it being blocked out in chat? I don't know if you just didn't think of it or if Crystal Saga is ran by a bunch of conservative prejudice people but this needs to change. Times have changed and you should accept the LGBT community like most of the world does now. This sickens me knowing that in a simple game you would still make a point to segregate gays from heterosexuals by not giving us the same rights as everyone else. I only ask that you please open your minds to the acceptance of gays in this game. There is a good chance that one of your siblings, a child of yours, a friend, or someone in your life is homosexual whether you know it yet or not. Would you deny rights to your child if they were homosexual? I will make sure all future players will know that Crystal Saga is anti-gay until things change. If you can't do anything about this please pass this along to someone who can. Obviously blaming it on coding problems is total bull ****** so don't try to say that's why you can't. It's simply because whoever is the decision maker in this case doesn't like Homosexuals.

As stated there's a capsule as a workaround but even with that said this is more of an ego/insecurity issue.

Tl;dr: Marriage in game gives you a title and depending on the marriage 1 or 2 rings.

Just you perceiving this as sexual orientation discrimination is full out stupid. Also the word gay is considered a deragatory term with negative connotations at this point of time.

People want things like server lag fixed and skills to work properly but you complain about this, what's the big deal? CS isn't the real world so not all real world stuff applies here, so why would it affend you? All characters are white, same weight and height but does do you see fat people or other races on here complaining, the answer is no.
