Round limit in Zodiac battles?

Hello, does any1 know if there is a round limit in zodiac battles after which u lose anyway? I ve been fighting against gemini, nightmare and although my party seems to be winning - I even managed to kill main boss, with one henchman remaining- the battle ends after several rounds and i get a "fail" message.

Think there is 30 round limit for all matches, after that, left side loses.

hmmm... that favors aggressive builds over defensive ones and it's not quite fair i think...
