Bug with Angel Evolution

So yesterday i had used seraph stones hoping that my angel would evolve. It had gained 22 evolution points but never evolved. After reset today, I acquired another seraph stone and was going to use it when my angel had been reset down to zero evolution points again.

Did you do anything with inheriting of angels from the time you used the seraph stones until reset? If you did, then it reset because of that.
