I was under the impression that upgrading mounts counted toward the Hero Blessing Hot Event (I remember seeing an announcement of some sort to that effect) - based on that I sank my orbs into my mount, but the event does not reflect a level 16 completed. Was I mistaken that it would count for event?

Yes yo uwere, it says "heroes upgrade", and it actually works like it is supposed to. -
It did use to include mounts. I made the same mistake at one point though. Found out the hard way
that they changed it at some point.

Well if you read through the hot events new, it say upgrae your mounts and heroes in hero upgrade!But in hero upgrade it self say upgrade any heroe... missleading and confusing
