That's because they're from a chest and items collected from chests don't count for points. (read the rules)

Nothing from chests counts towards tycoon.

The tears you get from Team Dungeon are from a Chest, therefore they don't count.

TD and quest are different, when you blitz level and get a luck tear drop, they do count. the one you get from Team dungeon in a chest do not count.

I wouldn't advertise the whole "Mail attachments sent before the resource tycoon event" too much, just making it worse for those that did not exploit this bug...

Really are you sure about that? I don't think you read the whole of rule #2.
