Suggestion for what to do about unwanted shards

We all have odd shards for gear and mounts we dont need anymore in our inventory, they just sit there pretty much useless, we cant sell them, sometimes we might get lucky and you put an exchange event in place.

The question is what to do with them, add the sell option to them but not for 1 gold, but for the new Aureus or even a new token we collect. As each item requires a different amount of shards to synth into a whole item i suggest that you do it based on the ratios shown below

needs 100 shards give 1 Aureus per shard sold
needs 200 shards give 2 Aureus per shard sold
needs 250 shards give 3 Aureus per shard sold

You could even use a new item that we then save up to exchange directly for new gear. Aureus are not really a huge game changer item, but at least they gives us the option to dispose of unwanted items for something that might be of use. If you were to use a new token instead of the Aureus i would suggest that we would need to save up at least 5k to exchange them to get a set of wings or clothes, the higher the br/strength item would require more, dont want it too easy to get gear do you but does give you the option to give us time limited items, exclusive exchange items etc that show our loyalty to the game as we have to save up the tokens for the gear

Awesome idea! - Provided Aureas get more of a purpose, otherwise we'll all just be complaining about the millions of aureas that we have.

Nice idea... except free players like me don't get much use of it as aureas are used only with dias.... I would prefer a swap for some resource instead.

I have 2600 Auerus, but can't spend them since im limited to spending 100/item for some reason meaning i can't use them since i dun have the dias to match.

depending on your vip level and if you are buying an item that doesnt require diamonds such as mysteral wings this time, you can buy more than once with only using aureus. only select 1 to buy the 10 shards, use 200 aureus and then complete order. Just repeat that buying only 1 (10 shards) at a time until you max out your daily buys or you run out of aureus. Its nice to see each group buy and hopefully wardrobe event having 1 item that if it reaches 50 percent off can be obtained with only group buy/aureus.

yes even non vip can get the mysteral wings for free and use your group buys on gem cards for free

Well, only being able to spend them on mystral wings don't really help me much, with my VIP6 im only allowed to spend 100A/item (other than on mystal wings, wich dun really help me much sinc esummer gear is the ones i need...)

ok agreed they are over giving the Aureus so i think the other part about it being a new token that we save up would be much better, so we could have wing essence and armor essence tokens we save up to exchange, and as its only a free to play game and they need to generate an income they can add the option to buy the tokens with diamonds too for the impatient cash players so they can get the items faster, at the rate of 2 diamonds each based on the fact i suggested we would need at least 5000 essence as a free player

any suggestions on how to improve and refine this idea gratefully recieved so that the mods and gm can put the idea to gtarcade for consideration
