Question About Attempts

I have a question regarding attempts.
If I pay 50 diamonds for any attempts, Do they add an extra attempt to the maximum attempts permanently or will I just get 1 attempt to play?

Like for example, will it make my blitz on eternal become 9/9 or will it it just become 1/8?? (assuming I have already used 8 blitz attempts)

you get one extra attempt for that day. tomorrow you will have the same limit as usual.

In your example: if you blitz 8 times and buy one extra attempt you would be at 1/8 today and tomorrow you would be at 8/8 as usual.

to get "permanent" attempts use Benefits.

Benefit only last for a few days, wont call that permanent :P

also keep in mind that each extra attempt as a cumulative price. I think it is 20 diamonds for eternal battle irc, haven't bought any for a while. So it would first extra attempts cost 30 dia, 2nd 50 dian, 3rd 70 dia...
