best ways to try out PVE formations?

Looking for additional ways to test out PVE formations. Last night in Gauntlet I wasnt scoring the points I wanted per hit, I switched around some, still some experimenting. The good thing about Gauntlet is you get a hit score everytime and two or three scores generally seem to provide some sort of decent average - so its easy to compare formations.

I know Zodiac and Totems and Eternal Spire are good to test PVE but I cant remember if they provide damage scores like Gauntlet.

Anything else I could try to experiment with, before the next gauntlet?

Gaunlet is nothing like WB or GB , the last 2 can be tanked easy , while gauntlet wolfs skill one shot you , the best would be the uncheck the option of battle log , and watch it every sometime
