There seems to be three parts to this system: Smelting Awakening Stones, Acquiring Skill Books, and Increasing Awakening and Skill Levels.

        Smelting Awakening Stones:
        • At the top of the screen is a new icon "Awaken Smelting."
        • It appears to work very much like the regular Smelting event we've already seen: you feed materials or equipment shards into the device, and you get Awakening Stones out
        • The smelter has a maximum capacity of 1000 units, different items have different volumes. an item with 20 volume means you can only fit 50 of them in at once.
        • Different items have different yields, which means how many awakening stones you receive per item smelted. an item with 0.25 output means you get 1 Awakening stone per 4 items smelted.
        • On the left side is a guide which has an Item Yield section: this tells you what you can smelt, the volumes of each item, and their output.
        • Everything except the "Flaming Stones" currently has an efficiency (output per volume) of .025. this means smelting 1000 volume of any mat or equipment shard yields 25 Awakening stones by default.
        • There is also a Proficiency level associated with this system, which increases your yields in several ways: a straight up yield bonus (+4% yield per level), a 1.5x bonus chance (10%+.4% per level), 2x bonus chance (5% + 0.3% per level), and 4x bonus chance (3% + 0.2% per level).
        • You gain experience towards Proficiency by smelting items. Currently it seems you get 1 exp for per unit volume smelted, so 1000 exp for a full smelt. Getting a bonus yield does not affect your exp.
        • Finally, there is a limit to how many smelts you can do each day. this limit is 5 smelts, so 5000 exp a day (and around 125-150 Awakening stones at level 1, depending on bonus yield luck). You can spend diamonds for more smelts.
        • There are also slots for elemental "Soul" items, but no idea how that works currently.

TL;DR - Smelt materials and equipment shards for awakening stones, up to five times a day. The more you smelt the better your proficiency, and the more stones you get.

        Acquiring Skill Books
        • Top of the screen is a new icon, "Skill Chest."
        • Inside you have two options, Normal Skill Chest (costs 50 vouchers) and Advanced Skill chest (costs 100 diamonds).
        • At the bottom is also an option for drawing 10x at a time at a 10% discount, guaranteeing at least one draw of a high quality: Legendary for normal chests, Mythic for advanced chests.
        • Opening a chest yields 1 to 3 of a single book of a random rarity. Opening 10 chests at once seems to be the same as opening the chest 10 times individually (each result is listed separate).
        • There is a daily limit of 200 draws from each chest.
        • From my daily 200 normal chest draws I received 203 Rare Books, 123 Epic Books, 70 Legendary Books, and 0 Mythic Books. I also received 0 Halo Skill Books.

After that is the Recycle and Exchange System:
        • Books can be exchanged for 5 Divine Stones of the appropriate quality: rare books for rare stones, epic books for epic stones.
        • In the Skill Book Shop (Accessed via skill chest window or awakening window) you can buy Skill books for 10 Divine stones, and Halo Skill Books for 20 Divine stones.
        • In other words, 2 books of the same quality that you don't want for 1 book that you do want (or 4 to 1 for halo skills)
        • Mythic and Celestial Books seem to be locked for me at level 78, not sure what unlocks them.

Tl;DR - Spend vouchers (or diamonds) to acquire books, exchange books you don't want for ones you do at 2:1 ratio (4:1 for halo skills).

        Increasing Awakening and Skill Levels
        • On the Character screen, either click the "Awaken" button on the left side of portrait, or one of the Plus symbols on your skills, to open the new Skill screen.
        • On the left bottom side is the Awaken exp portion, which is where you spend Awakening Stones to increase your Awakening level.
        • the Awakening EXP system works like the soulstone training, with static exp requirements and experience per stone. There does not seem to be any bonus exp chance.
        • Increasing your Awakening level gives stats and unlocks access to various skills. Rarer skills require higher Awakening Level (1-5 for Rare vs 2-10 for Legendary).
        • Increasing a skill levels also requires a certain number of the skill's books. Rarer skills require more books (25 for rare +1 vs 50 for legendary +1).
        • Each subsequent skill level has a higher Awakening level requirement. raising a Rare skill to +2 requires 1-10 for example.
        • Increasing your Awakening level also unlocks Halo Skill slots at level 1-10, 3-10, and 5-10.
        • I haven't unlocked these yet, but they seem to basically be extra passive skill slots that give your team a stat boos (+1% atk, +2% dodge, that sort of thing).

TL;DR - Spend Awakening Stones to increase Awakening level (soulstone-type system). Upgrading skill levels requires books and certain Awakening levels. At certain levels you also unlock passive buff skill slots called Halo Skills.

After the summary post, my thoughts on the system:

                • Reaching the smelting cap each day is going to require a LOT of resources. I was lucky in that I hadn't autosold my Eternity shards recently so I had over 1000 of them and could throw in 500 today, but realistically you only get like 30-50 shards a day. That leaves 4500-4800 volume left to fill, which is gonna be hard to do on a free/light casher budget. Of course, you can spend 200 diamonds in the shop for a 500-volume flaming stone, so folks willing to drop $20 a day suffer no resource loss.
                • Reaching high awakening levels seems like it's also going to be quite taxing. level 1-6 requires 45 awakening stones, which is a third of a days level. I wouldn't be surprised if levels start taking days or weeks once you get up to the high 2s or 3s, and you need to get high awakening to upgrade the skills to a decent level (i.e. not just +1).
                • Looking at the rare and Epic skills, they are a bit basic, but several of the class-specific skills are there for any class to pick up. Shadowstrike is essentially Tornado blow, Skewer Skull is Bladestorm, Winter Storm is Multi Shot, and so on. Plenty of options to tailor your hero to a specific pve opponent, which will be nice. I'm a bit worried about what sort of awakening level we'll need to get the skills up to any decent level though.
                • Of course all the best skills are Mythic or Celestial quality, and right now it looks like those are inaccessible to all but the heaviest of spenders. Kinda sucks for the little guy, but on the other hand it means there hopefully won't be as big a gap between the older free/light casher and the newer ones.

Overall as a free player I feel like this system is going to leave me even further in the dust from light/medium cashers, with the bonus stats and skill diversity they will have. It's also going to make formation plans more of a headache when your opponent can have any of a dozen skills instead of just one of three. I'm not even sure if I should bother trying to keep up with my daily 5K volume cap, I'm worried that's a trap that will stunt my character growth. Having the rare/epic skills for PVE content will be nice though...

EDIT: Someone on the other forums posted a picture that shows a chinese player at Awakening level 4-6. At that level, reaching 4-7 requires 2250 exp. Assuming the exp rate per stone remains the same (1 stone = 2 exp) that will require 1125 stones, which is around a week of 5000-volume smelting. Not as bad as I was afraid of, but still gonna be pretty slow.

So why is warrior class at a disadvantage with some awakening skills that cast damage based on percentage of magic attack? Most skills either based on total attack or magic attack, only 1 based on physical attack, so mage classes can select from all but 1 of them with no worry about amount of physical attack while warrior class either has to skip the 5 or 6 with magic attack, somehow build up more magic attack to get full benefit of skill, or just deal with lower skill damage/performance. Why not just make them all based on full attack so that all classes have same chance at some pretty decent skills.

I agree, you guys are becoming ravaging beasts trying to gnaw on the mountainside. This doesn't just change the game it creates the elite smart players from the classless imbeciles that don't know what they were doing except copying builds anyway.

Seems a great uèdate tp me, lot of new tactical possibilities that was what the game lacked.
And for those who asked for a class change card it kind of answer that concern to.
