I thought it was decided by who hit first...once the round limit is reached.

Works like that in cross server team tournament as well
Whoever on the left side wins (if it is tie)

It might be left side - I thought it was but I'm not completely sure anymore. It's definitely not BR or who strikes first, because I've beaten people with higher agility and higher BR than me in thirty-round draws. Could also be total damage dealt, but not amount of health left since the fight I won I didn't kill anyone on their team, but did a lot of damage that was outhealed.

total dmg is only for CS Tournament and CS TT , and Ta , everywere esle is defender side win by default , be it pvp or pve

my observation the player who hits first loses .. never seen any exception till now in domination or ta in our server .. anyone fell free to share any battle ..

thanks guys! it makes complete sense to me now

Now for my second question... how do you keep from hitting first if you know it will be a tie? Lower your agility? or is it random?

This is untrue. I was in a Dom battle tonight where my opponent struck first, the battle was a draw, and I lost. It has to be whomever deals the most damage.

With the new Battle Data feature, I can confirm it's just whoever's on the defending (right) side. If I said left at any point in time I just can't tell my directions apart.

                            Enemy did 4.2m + 1.2m damage; I did 3.2m damage. Timed out, I won.

As far as I can tell this is correct Thank you kaitsuna.

So back to my 2nd question... but I think I know the answer to this... any way to make sure you end up on the right side? or is it random? My guess is that it's random and as players we are at the fate of the game.
