DMG is final output. ATK and DEF are where calculations begin from.
from what i have observed, those buffs which increase ATK are better than those which increase DMG.Last edited by MagusRynd; 02-27-2015, 08:09 AM.League of Angels

additional info: this also explains your 200k patk vs someone with 200 pdef while using a 200% percent skill doing ~10000 damage. (Think of an angel attack)
Basically (200 atk - 200 def) * modifiers = almost 0
Instead of what you might think 200% * 200k atk - 200k def = 200k damage. So yes, Magus is right.

Each point of attack will do .7 damage while each point of defense will only stop .3 damage, so 200k atk -200k def is closer to 80k damage, while (200%*200k atk) -200k def is closer to 220k damage.
Using 10% bonuses as an example in 200k atk vs 200k def situations:
10% bonus to attack power would be 220k atk -200k def = 94000 damage.
10% boost to damage would be 200k atk -200k def = 80000*110% = 88000 damage.
10% boost to defense would be 200k atk - 220k def = 74000 damage.
10% boost to both attack and damage would be 220k atk - 200k def = 94000*110% = 103400 damage.
10% boost to attack vs a 10% boost to defense would be 220katk - 220k def = 88000 damage.
10% boost to damage vs a 10% boost to defense would be 200k atk -220k def = 74000*110% = 81400 damage.
10% boost to both attack and damage vs 10% boost to defense 220k atk - 220k def = 88000*110% = 96800 damageS110 Lonfrost Trail/UA14/UB32
