The probability of block

What parametres of attacker hero the probability of my block depend on? Does it depend on Hit or level or something else of the attacker hero?

As far as I know, there is no counter measure to block.

High Block Rating increases the chance of blocking enemy attacks in the battle. Block decreases damage received from attack by 50%. This is the only thing learned about Block .. using block and dodge will give you better chances of not receiveing dmg at all or only partial, I think that riseing block in your stats worth the effort .. even if i have small ammount of dodge as bonus my heroes have lower i noticed they mostly block attacks then dodge ..

block has no counter stat like hit/dodge u can't block a rage att and u take 50% dam only of a normal att and still get 25 rage for getting hit (dodge does not inc rage) so the block/dodge gems r well worth having a few of
