is it because you must not have a minimum of 5 staminas?

You can't enter that realm if you do not have that minimum of 5 stamina and the message "Not enough stamina" will pop up when that amount of stamina is not there. There is also a requirement of the DRexp bar to be full to get to enter a new realm.
