They can't do anything about the World Boss event besides increasing the bosses HP, though doing that to a lvl where old people could have some fun, would make newer servers to not be able to kill any of the bosses, so devs try to keep it accessible to new servers instead.
Devs will not touch on the event to change, add more bosses or make it different, cause they cannot touch the core code, it's attached to the base of LoA, and cannot be touched. it's like a castle made of cards, if you take one of the bottom cards. Poof.
