Why does my web cam turn on by itself when I open the offers for free diamonds?

It never happens for any other sites, but as soon as I enter free offers, there it is - my camera is in action. I never noticed this until recently, and it took me some time to figure out what triggers it.

I can't wait to hear an explanation.

I don't trust a lot of the 'free' offers you have to download. They sometimes end up not being 'free' for those with no computer experience.

Malwarebytes detects nothing. I don't trust ANY of the offers you have to download, which is why I never ever download any of that. I mainly watch videos and do tasks, if there are any.

These "free" offers are kinda part of the game, as much as diamonds are. How come there's no support for that aspect of the game?

This "game" seems to be a big farm, where the cattle is fully used, nothing is wasted. The cattle that doesn't give milk can still be used to increase views on youtube videos, or give information to data miners. And we are constantly mistreated, the food is horrible and the owner sometimes doesn't even let us sleep.

For now, duct tape will protect my privacy... which has already been violated and the pervs behind the screen probably have a whole gallery named "Tukemuth". Argh!

I don't click anything, I don't download anything, the page opens and my webcam turns on.

Now, I have a FEELING that this page is somehow associated with r2games, which is why I'm trying to squeeze the explanation out of r2games. Am I barking up the wrong tree? Did someone hijack r2games site and used it to turn my camera against me? Because that's the only other explanation I can think of.

The best thing to do when you have to download something from the free offers is download what you're downloading to an external hard drive or a usb drive.

- will never do a download
- will never do a register because of spam email and viral emails (infected)

Never tried the free diamond offers for all the reasons people have already stated. Tried to install the game client from R2games (the link from within the game itself, mind you), and was informed by Webroot that the program was trying to install a Trojan.

Now, I have no idea if my antiviral software was being overly discriminating, but if software directly from R2games could have malware on it, goodness knows what could be on the stuff they're not taking responsibility for...

Let me state for the record that I'm not accusing R2 of intentionally providing malware-laden software, or even unintentionally doing so. However, my one experience...concerns me, and should concern others.
