OP, as was stated this is not a bug or fail or anything other than you not understanding a bye. Bye's are when you have no opponent.

first off, you get emblem shards and honor badges as a compensation.

secondly, what you can do is, make an alt. create a guild with that alt and make that guild register for TC :P
