Awaken is a new system in League of Angels unlocked at level 70, offering the ability to enhance your main character's stats, switch skills, as well as recycling unwanted items in your inventory.
1.1 Accessing the Awaken System
Assuming that you are already level 70+, you should now see 2 new icons in-game, all related to the Awaken system.
In the upper right corner of your screen, among the other daily tasks and events, you will see the following icons:
Open your character panel and click on "Awaken"
1.2 Awaken Main Interface
Upon clicking "Awaken", the following interface will appear, with the main Awaken status on the left, and the skill details on the right:
â— You can either click "Train" to train once using the minimum cost, or the "1-Click Train" to consume all your available stones to reach the next upgrade level (whichever comes first)
â— "Go Craft" will bring you to the same interface as the icon "Element Smelting" that you saw at the very beginning. We'll address this later.
â— There are 4 tabs on the right side, offering 4 types of skills: Initial Skills, Joint Skills, Finishing Skills, and Halo Skills. Hover on skill icons and you will receive tips showing their current/max level. For example, a skill with 2/10
means that the skill is currently level 2, and its max level is 10.
â— Players may also get access to the Skill Book Shop, Skill Recycle and skill chest function in this panel.
2. Awakening Level
Your awakening level is key to the entire system. Not only does it decide how much stats boosts you gain, but more importantly, it determines the skill type and skill level cap.
Upgrade Awakening level by using Awakening Stones.
Awakening Stones can be obtained via Element Smelting or other events like Craft Master.
2.1 Element Smelting
Players can open the Element Smelting panel through the main interface or via the Awaking function:
2.1.1 Element Smelting Interface
Materials you own in your inventory show on the right side, with the yields appearing on the left.
The capacity, the maximum amount of items you can smelt at once (based on their volume stat), is set to 1000 by default.
You can combine up to 5 different types of items at once.
There are 5 free daily attempts, however you can also purchase additional smelt attempts by using Diamonds.
2.1.2 Smelting Process
Select the resource you want to smelt, which will be the unwanted resource in the inventory you would like to get rid of. A pop-up will appear shortly after your click on the material:
â— Single volume represents the capacity amount used by 1 of those items. In this example, the single volume of the Conquest Greaves Shard is 5. And 200 Conquest Greaves Shard can be smelted at most at once. (200=1000/5).
â— Single output represents the percentage value of an Awakening Stone for 1 of the selected items. In this example, the Single Output is 0.13; this means that if smelt 200 Conquest Greaves Shard, 26 Awakening Stones will be obtained (0.13x200=26).
Upon clicking the OK button, items will be added to the list of materials to be smelted. Repeat the process until you reach max capacity or until you are satisfied with your selection.
Note: Remember that you only have 5 free Smelt Attempts per day, so try to ensure that each Smelt is using the maximum capacity.
Before clicking "Smelt", it is possible to use Soul Buffs (Earth, Wind, Fire, Water) to enhance the output and performance of your smelting attempt. (Not available yet)
Earth Souls
Wind Souls
Fire Souls
Water Souls
Once you are satisfied with your selections, click "Smelt".
After a short animation, you will see the following:
As you can see, you gained Awakening Stones, with an increase in proficiency EXP. Once the Awaken EXP bar is full, you'll either gain a star (if you have less than 10) or a new level (if you have 10 stars):
3. Awaken Skills
Upgrading your awakening level provides stat bonuses, however the main reason why you want to raise your awakening level may be because of the Awaken Skills.
Awaken allows you to change all your character's active skills.
â— Initial Skills - Initial skills are the first skills you cast once your hero reaches sufficient Rage in-battle.
â— Joint Skills - Joint skills have a chance to be triggered after an initial skill has been cast.
â— Finishing Skills - Finishing skills have a chance to be triggered after a joint skill has been cast.[/TD]
â— Halo Skills - Halo skills are passive skills. The first halo skill is unlocked at Awakening Level 1-10, the second at level 3-10, and the third at level 5-10.
3.1 Skill Chest
Now that you know what skills are available and which skills, it is time to find out how you actually acquire these skills.
Let's first head towards the Skill Chest interface by either clicking the Skill Chest icon, located in the upper right corner of your screen:
Or by clicking the Skill Chest button in the Awaken main interface:
Using either one of these methods, you will see the following:
â— This is for Normal Skill Chest draws. You get 5 free daily draws, and each subsequent draw will cost you 50 Vouchers. By using the Draw 10x button, you'll save 10%, using 450 Vouchers instead of 500. Also, you'll be guaranteed at least 1 Legendary Skill Book.
â— Every 24 hours, you'll get a Free Advanced Skill Chest Draw. The normal cost is 100 Diamonds per draw. By using the Draw 10x button, you'll save 10%, using 900 Diamonds instead of 1000. Also, you'll be guaranteed at least 1 Mythic Skill Book.
â— The maximum Voucher/Diamonds draws you can do in one day is 200.
â— Return to the main Awaken interface and hover over a skill and you will see something similar to this:
â— As you can see the icon of Dark Arrow skill is grayed out, which mean this skill is not activated yet. Aside from the skill description, there are 2 things we are particularly interested in this interface:
The number of Skill Books required to activate the skill (in this example 35 books are needed).
â— The awakening level is currently 2-8 so this requirement is already fulfilled; currently have 23 skill books for Dark Arrow, however 12 books more are needed, which can be obtained from the Skill Chest draws.
â— You can access the Skill Book Shop either by clicking the button in this interface:
Or by clicking the link in the upper right corner of the Skill Chest interface:
Using either method, you'll be able to access the Skill Book Shop:
Divine Stones are the currency of the Skill Book Shop. They can be obtained by recycling unwanted Skill Books.
3.2 Skill Recycle
There are 2 ways to reach the Skill Recycle interface, the first method is by clicking the button inside the main Awaken interface:
The second method is simply by accessing the menu through the Forge system, and clicking on the Recycle tab.
Either way, this is where you'll end up:
All the books that you currently possess are listed here and can be recycled (except for the Mythic and Celestial Skill Books).
The recycled skill books will then be converted into Divine Stones of the grade matching the book. (Epic Books will give you Epic Divine Stones).
If you remember, I was initially trying to activate the Dark Arrow skill and was short 12 books. Having a quick look into the shop, I can see that each Dark Arrow skill book costs 10 Epic Divine Stones:
This means that I need to recycle enough books to acquire 120 Epic Divine Stones. Knowing that each skill book will give me 5 Divine Stones, I need to recycle 24 Epic Books before purchasing the needed book.
3.3 Activating a New Skill
There is now a small blinking up arrow signaling that all the requirements to activate or level up a skill have been met:
Upon clicking that small icon, the following confirmation interface will appear:
Click Confirm to activate/upgrade the skill.
Upon clicking the confirmation button, a system message will appear confirming your action. In order to use that skill, you need to click and drag it into the appropriate slot (initial skill for initial skill slot, joint skill for joint skill slot, etc...)
Halo Skills are activated just the same way and are placed on the row just below the Active Halo Skills.
Conclusion
The Awaken system provides extra choices as you now can add additional skill types to your character. You could be a Berserker, casting group heals, shooting arrows, and generating Rage if you wanted to. The possibilities are endless!
We hope this guide and these examples provide you with a better understanding of the new Awaken system. Have fun!
