Being able to save gold is important. You need to have that gold to enchant your gear up as well as various other things that require a lot of gold as you level. You don't want to hold too much on you though because you lose 10% of your hard earned gold when you are plundered. Here are some ways to save gold for future use:
1. Save your World Boss (WB) rewards mail. This can add up quickly doing both WB battles per day. As long as you don't open the letter containing the prize, it can stay in your mail for 30 days. Once opened, it will delete in 3 days.
2. Save up gold chests. They stack and they contain 1000 gold per chest.
3. Save level 3 exp books. They also stack and are worth 2000 gold a piece if you sell them. Level 2 exp books are worth 1000.
4. Save pieces of your fully enchanted gear when it's time to upgrade. Then when you need gold, you can sell the item(s). The main downside to this is that each item takes up an inventory space, so if you are hurting for inventory space - this may not be your best option. On the plus side, each item can be worth quite a chunk of gold the higher the level and enchantment.
5. Increase your gold production by having gold mines and through academy and guild skill tower. If you are VIP you can save your levies and use them throughout the day as you need them.
