Underground palace ranking title

hi folks,

can i confirm that i will not get the underground palace ranking title (no.1, 2 or 3 spot) until end of the event/week before the next minigame?

in other words i need to maintain my ranking?

once i dropped out of rank by end of event i dont get the title?

Before: this mini game along with others end weekly and by reset of the next week, you get the rank and rewards associated with such.
Now: well, I had to guess that they do it in the time before the next time it pops up; so if someone beats you by the last minute, they might wind up with the title, rank, and rewards than you; downside, you have to wait 4 weeks until it comes again to make any progress.

Question: WHY OH WHY DID THEY DO THIS?!?!?! Only events I liked and thought of benefit are Jewel Hunt and Underground Palace (I am a sucker for free <expletive>). Fishing's too time consuming (30 min CD for the next time to play --- well, what if I don't have time to play as I have a busy day?). And Goodies Link, I won't even touch that with a 39 and a half foot pole as the rewards aren't that great.
