I bought a level 70 ring from crypt shop and it had Intelligence on it. I refined it once and MATK appeared!

Artifacts and Halidoms do it too. Just have to refine them away, good luck.

refinement can get you any stats, not just the useful ones.

as stated above, refining can give any stat. ive had to refine 4 or 5 times, maybe more, to get rid of stats like that. its normal, though a bit odd

Yep, got the same going in the past. Hence why I keep refining until I get good 9 or 10 stats, and then lock them and refine again until I get all 10's and on good ones I want.
