Rage rune giving half rage it's suppose to

There are times when I activate it and it only gives me 40 rage instead of 80. Then I realize the 50% off the rage of the next skill buff is active. Why the bleep does it cut rage in half that is gained?! Idiotic! And I only seem to get that beneficial buff when my rage rune is about to fire. As mages all know, KH mages almost never get the 50% rage buff, but I seem to get it a lot right before my rage rune fires and it cuts it in half. anyone else notice both glitches? Mages are rage strapped enough as is and having a buff actually hurt us is so frustrating. Then again, this is wartune.

The 50% rage buff i hardly ever see. I use the rage-rune to start with a descent skill but never seen the issue that you describe? Must be because the 50% buff sucks for us.
