Well I am no artist, so I’ll have to make do with my words. I suggest a steampunk theme; much of the palate would be copper, crimson, and black. For the wings, I propose a clockwork-style jet pack. The replaying animation while in combat would be small, pulsating blue flames fluttering from the jet tubes. The jets would ignite brilliant orange flames as smoke billows and curls around the character for the victory animation sequence.
The headgear for males would be a simple, brown bowler hat. Perhaps a single playing card, say the ace of spades, would rest in its brim. For women, a mini hat would sit at a cant upon their heads. It too would be brown, but it would also feature a pinstriped band with either cogs or a clock. At the back of the hat would be either a single peacock feather, or dual ostrich feathers.
The clothing for the men would require a leather trench coat that is mid thigh length, and a turtle-necked shirt (bound by copper buttons, of course) beneath a vest where a pocket watch chain is visible near the navel. The pants too would be brown, and a red strip would run the length of the outer seam towards calf high boot covers held together by a vertical row of copper buttons.
The female characters would wear a low cut blouse that have sleeves that puff out near the shoulder, flare near the forearm, and have leather bands around the biceps. They would also have a crimson leather bodice adorned with straps and copper buckles along the midriff. They would also have a frilled, violet skirt that has an inverted ‘v’ opening of an appropriate length, revealing thigh high fishnet leggings that run down towards calf length black velvet boots ornamented with more cogwheels.
The weapons would be quite simple, but very stylish in their animation. All knights would aim to have a sword-cane. The attack animation would be thus: the knight rests upon the cane with one hand on the handle and the other on the shaft, once the knight attacks, the knight pulls apart the sword cane, and proceeds to slash with controlled violence. Archers would receive an octagonal barreled, copper hued Gatling gun that cycle with every shot. Finally, mages would have a simple, copper staff with a crystal globe atop it that illuminates according to the type of spell: i.e. a green hued light for a healing spell, red for fire, blue for lightning, etc…
What about the mount, you ask. Why, it would be a mini steam locomotive of course—cattle catcher and all.
Now, I am no artist—I wish I were—but for those of you who are, this idea is a winner. Please, take this idea and run with it!
