Another way to switch Factions?

I didn't know, until after I gave up being clan leader and leaving my clan, that it costs 1,000 ambers to switch factions in game. I am unable to recharge at this time, to simply gain 1,000 ambers just to go from Amity to Supremacy. Is there any other way to switch factions, or am I going to be stuck until I can recharge and get 1,000 ambers?
