Server 49 fix it - maybe

Alright, I am not a techie but I found a way to access server S49 by fiddling with the url, Sadly this will only work if you play on another server because you need two server numbers.

http://www.r2games.com/play/?game=481&server=xxxxx&server=YYYYY

Use the above url but change the xxxxx to your other server number (the last 5 digits in the url you see in your browser address bar) and change the final YYYYY to your server number for S49

This worked for me and I hope it works for others but do not ask me to explain any of it - it was simply a fluke that I hit upon it at all.

Please let me know if it works. Maybe you will need to do some tinkering of your own - I don't know. What I do know for certain is that you will never get any help from R2.

No, I have been unable to access server 49 since last Friday morning. I have asked for help but received none from R2. It was by chance that I was able to finally get on and this is the url that got me there. I had attempted to use the R2 client but it is perhaps the worse excuse for a work around that I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. It is literally useless - it causes more problems than it solves and makes playing the game aggravating and tedious. That is why I am trying to give an alternative to it because it is really not good and R2 should be embarrassed to even offer it. I do not know what caused the problem in the first place and I definitely do not know how to fix it but if this helps anyone in the interim, so be it. There are literally hundreds of players who were playing on S49 that are unable to get to it and I am just trying to help them get there because, as I mentioned, R2 has provided absolutely no help or support and has in fact insinuated more than once that it is our fault that we cannot access their server. Bunkum.

Sorry, yes, this is my 6th move into 4th age - and up until this incident, I have never had any problems.

It's strange for sure. I'm being asked if you use a Facebook login.
Edit: Got them to answer that question themselves. This issue is being looked into now.

The above Memory is the exact url i try to login in with directly on chrome,edge, and firefox and can not get in. Can use the client but get kicked out of any fight type activity that I try to watch.

Did you also move to the 4th age? If you follow the OP's suggestion, do you have any luck? The URL would look like https://www.r2games.com/play/?game=481&server=[previous]&server=[current] If you need help with the exact numbers, let me know what you were on before, and which you are trying to get on now.

Yes memorylane I was on server 49 and it moved to the 4th age. I was on server 21486 before and I am still on server 21486 in the 4th age. I tried his suggestion but I can not get it to work. I am on the same server as sam

I am really sorry that you can't get on yet. I know it is extremely frustrating and the players should not be the ones having to find a solution to this problem. Might I suggest deleting the other server (the xxxxx one) and just put your S49 server number - this is supposed to be our actual URL so it ought to work. Unfortunately R2 have no interest in helping players - they just keep making excuses and hope they will go away, I guess. Strange business attitude imo. Anyways, I sure hope to see you soon. It's less about players having to find the solution, and more about us trying to help speed the process of finding a solution along. Through the forum, we can share and compare outcomes and tips in a way that can't be done through ticket. I was hoping the double server= thing was on to something when the direct link doesn't work, but it doesn't seem like that's the case. In the meantime, everything is continuously forwarded on so hopefully the devs will figure things out soon.

Thanks MemoryLane but they need to really get to grips with this problem. It is now atleast 3 servers (S49, S52 and S47) with hundreds of players who cannot play because of this issue. It needs to be fixed yesterday!

I agree, chrysim. Currently we're being asked for screenshots that show if you getting an error, or if you're getting stuck on a loading screen.

My computer won't cooperate when it comes to doing screenshots but others have provided them. Everybody is having the same issue, being stuck on the loading screen and getting an error saying the server has been disconnected. This is wholly on R2 and if they don't know what the heck is going on, how do they expect us to?
