how to use SS tier general chip & S+ general chip?

I have 20 SS tier general chip & 120 S+ tier general chip....can some one please tell me how to use them?

Go to one of your heroes, ascend tab, bottom where it says "exchange", enter how many you want to use and then exchange; hopefully ascend hero. Are there SS general chips? I've only seen S and S+. Anyways, good luck.
