Having more than one account is the only way to have 2 characters on a single server. There are no rules against having more than one account, nor are there any rules about having multiple characters on the same server, as long as the Terms of Service is followed. If you have the same opportunity to attack the player and/or the player's alt as the player does, then it's hard to argue the player is taking advantage of anything. If the player were using the main and the alt to attack you to prevent you from playing the game, that might be taking advantage, if R2, in its sole discretion, believes such acts are against the ToS.
