  • False Advertising on First Purchase

Included is a screen shot of the first purchase offer, which indicates you get the best S+ Defensive hero, plus 24,999 gems worth of goods.
The 2nd item is 100 gems, worth 100
The 3rd item is 3 Rum, worth 280 each, or 840
The 4th item is Stamina, worth 300
The last item is 10x EXP Scroll III, worth 250 for 50, so 50 for 10.

This means you get the hero, plus 100+840+300+10 = 1250 Gems worth.
A far cry from the 24,999 indicated.

Either you need to greatly increase the offering, or fix the advertisement.

Prices I used were from the VIP shop, not discounted.
But you can buy many of the items at a discount in various ways.

This is not to say that the hero isn't worth the price by itself: it is.
The point being: the truth is good enough, don't mislead the customer.

The hero and the items worth 24,999, inclusive. Dev value is subjective. It's not misleading, it's marketing.

The advertisement doesn't say "hero and items worth 24,999" it says hero, and items worth 24,999.

Far from being subjective: the items are available in the VIP store for a set price, which sets their value objectively.
You can't say gas is available for an average of $4 a gallon, and then claim that gas is worth $80 a gallon.
This is the difference we're talking about: 20:1

At best: you can claim that the advertisement is poorly worded in such a way as to be misleading.
But the offer, as advertised, is false.

I would say that it is worth the price offered, but that the offering isn't worth 24,999 as there is no place you can buy those hero chips for gems, thus the chips have no gem value.
Other chips can be bought for 250 each, which would make 10 worth 2500, but that means even with the hero chips, the value is about 3/20th of the indicated value.

You can also get SS chips from a game, for about 13k, along with numerous other rewards from the wheel.
Using that criteria, and attributing 0 value to the other items, you are still only about half way to the full value they indicate.
If you would like me to do a more detailed review of the wheel "mini game" that offers 8 or 9 chips, I could do that too, but that would only lower the per chip value further, not get closer to the 25k indicated in the advertisement.

"The best defense S+ hero and items worth 24,999 gems for only 0.99$" - there is no comma, it's one statement. The entirety of the offer is valued, according to the devs, at 24999 gems.

What you can purchase some items for in a VIP/discount/reward store is not relevant. Those are not the prices the devs think items are worth, those are prices available for whatever relevant discount the devs have set for the items. Does it always make sense? No. But is the pack as it stands worth a dollar? Subjective.

What you can purchase something for is the best indication of what it is worth, unless a discount is indicated.
For example: chips and other items (speed buffs, etc) are often offered in various places at 30%, 50% and 70% off.

The pack as a whole is offered as a special offer, and is expected to be offered "below the actual value".

While there is no comma, there is a line break, which makes it read like 2 different items in a list.
You call it marketing, I call it misrepresentation. AKA False advertising.

I stand by my point: the truth is good enough, no need to try and make it look better than it is.

It's a line break because all 10 words on the same line would make them too small to read. It's a sentence. It's also a dollar.

Simply not true. They could easily format the message to put all the words on 1 line.
I understand the price, and as I've already stated: it is worth the price IMO, without misleading the customer.

We will have to agree to disagree that those sentences aren't exactly the same. It's been forwarded. In the hands of the devs now.
