[Annoucement] Server Merge Scheduled for Tuesday, July 17th

I'm originally from Himeng Valley (S2) Server and recall suggesting a few thoughts on server merges. First off being to offer some sort of Crystal Purchased Item that allows a player to change their name to something that doesn't involve the (S#) after the merge, allowing players to conform to the giant server, rather than throwing a few servers together and separating the servers with those numbers...

I was told there is no way to change character names at all. GMs can't even change a player's name.

As in any game... merging servers does nothing but ruin them... there goes this game

I guess I'm just imagining that, when servers merge, everyone's name is changed then? People still only have to type /Zirkus to whisper me and I'll get it? That's funny, I coulda swore that they changed everyone's names to include an additional 4 characters... (Note Sarcasm for those that don't pick up on it)

An automatic modifier to a name that is put in place when a server is merged is not technically a name change.

No, but it is well within the realm of possibilities of what they can do considering they can cope with that and still keep up with Items, Friend/Ignore Lists and everything else... Half the work is done, they just seem to be too lazy to do the rest of it... Why would they when they can keep on coming out with new servers (to which I had a solution to as well).
