I've tried multiple times today to play cs on firefox, but it keeps failing. I've cleared history, cache and cookies many times, and even rebooted my computer. However, whenever I try to open the game, it doesnt even load, and just shows a blank screen. Can't even get to the character list.

Yeah i have been having "lag" problems on fire fox. Internet explorer 9 works a lot more better for me. -

My Firefox loads up fine. I logged in a couple of servers as well. So its probable that its a problem on your end.
But as mentioned earlier update your flash player plugin to the latest version as well as your Firefox Browser. Avoid opening multiple characters on the same browser and try loading again. If the problem persists it may be a problem with your internet connection.Helpful Links

Mine is fantastic and I haven't got a problem with it at all. I'm using Windows XP lately for this week and nothing is wrong. You should try clearing your history, cookies, cache etc.~ Love Candy

i had to update my firefox to be able to get it to load when i upgraded flash it all went funny(s3)resarntu i think most of you know me already. =DComment

You can use google chrome it is much better. Avoid multiple log ins and use another browser to run other applications. Also, update your Adobe and java.

I use linux for my OS so firefox is default browser, when the newest update for firefox came out, i was having some issues, wound up switching to Chromium and have had no issues at all, if anything it seems to run better on it.
