INTRODUCTION

Generally mounts provide extra boost or increase player's health point, attack, defense, healing and movement speed. To view the mount interface, you can click 'N' or by clicking the mount icon as shown below.

TYPES OF MOUNTS

Basically there are 4 types of mounts namely :

1. Solo Mount / One-person Mount

1. Battle Mount

1. Two-person Mount

1. Limited Edition Mount

SOLO MOUNT
A solo mount is a general mount which can only be ridden by one player and cannot be ridden while in battle. A solo mount then can be further divided into non-rare mount and semi-rare mount. A non-rare solo mount consist of the mount Baby Turtle, Rabid Raccoon and the Battle Stallion while the semi-rare solo mount consist of only the Black Panther. Images, stats of every mount at level 1 and extra info on this 4 solo mounts are as shown below.


Baby Turtle

Level requirement : 1

Extra Info : This is your first mount to start off. You can obtain this mount by doing the main quest line at level 15 or you can purchase this mount from Kelandra (Misc. Item Vendor) at Starglade for 1 gold.

Rabid Raccoon

Extra Info : You can obtain this mount by doing the main quest line at level 30 or you can purchase this mount from Eren (Misc. Item Vendor) at Aurora Point for 5 gold.

BATTLE MOUNT
A battle mount is a mount that can be ridden while in battle. Battle mount can be further categorized into semi-rare mounts, rare mounts and rare flying-typed mount. The semi-rare battle mount consists of Mystical Scorpion and Battle Bear whereas the rare battle mount consists of Gorilla Titan. On the other hand, the rare flying-typed battle mount consists of Gryphon and Hellwing. Images, stats of every mount at level 1 and extra info on this 4 solo mounts are as shown below.

TWO-PERSON MOUNT
A 2-person mount is a mount that can be ridden in battle and can be ridden by 2 players as the names says. For 2 players to ride this mount you need to either invite your friend and your friends accept your invitation or your friend request to ride from you and you accept his/her invitation. For you to invite or request to ride just click on a player or on his/her name, then select request to ride for the players who want to ride and invited to ride for the player who wants to invite another person to ride. However, you should bear in mind that when teleporting to a place either through town portal scroll of through the Teleporter npc, you can't ride 2 player.


Genbu

Extra Info : You can obtain this mount by trading your 10 Therion Token to Ronna the Adventurer npc at Tree Of Life (for players below level 55 you can't go to the Tree Of Life by clicking at the world map instead you need to go to the Teleporter npc at Starglade and click on Teleport to Tree Of Life. You can also obtain this mount via the Dragon Hunt for few days.

White Tiger

Level requirement : 1
HP : +20.9%
Attack : +16.2%

Extra Info : You can obtain this mount by trading your 25 Therion Token, Genbu and Hellwing (however you won't lose your Hellwing as you will only lose your Genbu) to Ronna the Adventurer npc at Tree Of Life (for players below level 55 you can't go to the Tree Of Life by clicking at the world map instead you need to go to the Teleporter npc at Starglade and click on Teleport to Tree Of Life. You can also obtain this mount via the Dragon Hunt for few days and also via the daily quest 'A Day In Vidalia' in which you will receive a Vidalian Pack upon completion of the quest and you might get this mount for a day and it depends on your luck.

You can also obtain this mount via the Dragon Hunt for few days.

You can also obtain this mount via the Dragon Hunt for few days.

LIMITED EDITION MOUNT
This Limited Edition Mount is currently not in sale in the shop anymore. This Limited Edition Mount info is just an added extra info if you want to read. This Limited Edition Mount is called theFlying Carpet and cannot be ridden while in battle. This mount is currently the fastest mount to ever exist in Crystal Saga Origins.


Flying Carpet

ITEMS RELATED TO MOUNTS

Now moving on with the items related to mounts. Basically there are 4 items related to mounts namely Mount Upgrade Token, Greater Mount Upgrade Token, Therion Token and Purified Crystal. For further information please continue reading below as i attach images of these 4 items together with their uses and how to obtain those items.



Mount Upgrade Token

Purpose : Require to upgrade your mount into Black Panther, Mystical Scorpion and Battle Bear. The amount needed for each mount is stated above under types of mounts title.
How To Get :

1. Buy using crystals at the shop. Each cost you 50 Crystals. If you can afford to buy lots of crystal in the game I highly recommend you to buy the Mount Combo Pack in which you get to buy large amount of Mount Upgrade Token at cheaper rates. First is the Mount Combo Pack (10% off) where you get 18 Mount Upgrade Tokens at the cost of 800 crystals. Second is the Mount Combo Pack (15% off) where you get 76 Mount Upgrade Tokens at the cost of 3200 crystals. Next is the Mount Combo Pack (20% off) where you get 200 Mount Upgrade Token at the cost of 8000 crystals. Of all the ways to obtain Mount Upgrade Token, this is the easiest and fastest way to obtain it as you use cash. So if you can cash, then i suggest you don't need to really proceed reading other methods below.
2. Exchange your bronze honor badge and silver honor badge to General Krahn at Starglade. The first type of exchange is the Daily Exchange for Mount Upgrade Tokens which requires you to exchange your 10 bronze honor badge and 1 silver honor badge to obtain 1 Mount Upgrade Token and this exchange is available for 2 attempts per day. The second type is the Daily Exchange for Heroic Mount Upgrade Tokens which requires you to exchange your 30 bronze honor badge 2 silver honor badge and 1 gold honor badge to obtain 1 Mount Upgrade Token and 1 Heroic Wings and this exchange is available for 1 attempts per day. However, this method of obtaining the Mount Upgrade Token is not used by players as the bronze, silver and gold badges is more useful if you exchange it with your savage and slayer set and your insigna as I myself don't use this method.
3. Obtain from dungeons. You can obtain these Mount Upgrade Tokens by attempting the Revenant's Vault (Difficult and Nightmare), Blood Coliseum (Difficult), Sacrificial Relics (Difficult and Nightmare), Killer's Den (Difficult and Nightmare), Psychodelica (Difficult and Nightmare). This method is very useful to obtain the Mount Upgrade Tokens. I personally use and prefer this method.
4. Kill World Bosses. If you kill World Bosses (except for Platona) you will manage to get these Mount Upgrade Tokens but usually you will only manage to get one.
5. Certain Events. For these method what you need to do is always check out the forums for news and info regarding current events that will award you with Mount Upgrade Token but don't really expect much from these. These events will only boost your amount of Mount Upgrade Token by a little extra just to help you out in gaining these tokens.
6. Buy from other players when they open their shops selling these tokens or when they post in the world chat asking you the whisper them to buy the Mount Upgrade Tokens. These method is widely used by many players and usually the players will sell it at the cost of 1 gold (average rate) but it also depends on the server that you are playing. Why I say so is because for newly open servers players need golds so they tend to sell it for 85 silver to 1.5 gold. On the other hand, old servers like Aurora Point, player tend to sell it as cheap as 35 silver because many of them have upgraded their mount until Battle Bear in which they will not need these tokens in further upgrading their mounts.

Greater Mount Upgrade Token

Purpose : Require to upgrade your mount into Gorilla Titan, Gryphon and Hellwing. The amount needed for each mount is stated above under types of mounts title.
How To Get :

1. Buy using crystals at the shop. Each cost you 125 Crystals. If you can afford to buy lots of crystal in the game I highly recommend you to buy the Super Mount Combo Pack in which you get to buy large amount of Greater Mount Upgrade Token at cheaper rates. The only available pack is the Super Mount Combo Pack (20% off) where you get 80 Greater Mount Upgrade Tokens at the cost of 8000 crystals. Of all the ways to obtain Greater Mount Upgrade Token, this is the easiest and fastest way to obtain it as you use cash. So if you can cash, then i suggest you don't need to really proceed reading other methods below.
2. Through Item Synthesis. To use this method you have to open the Survival Of The Fittest Reward under your Item Synthesis when you open your Inventory. Survival Of The Fittest is a daily event in which you can participate only when you are level 60 and above and the rewards can be collected from Darwin at Starglade. By using your Guru Survival Medal obtained from the Survival Of The Fittest you can synthesis 5 Greater Mount Upgrade Tokens.
3. Certain Events. For these method what you need to do is always check out the forums for news and info regarding current events that will award you with Greater Mount Upgrade Token but don't really expect much from these. These events will only boost your amount of Greater Mount Upgrade Token by a little extra just to help you out in gaining these tokens.
4. Buy from other players when they open their shops selling these tokens or when they post in the world chat asking you the whisper them to buy the Greater Mount Upgrade Tokens. Compared to Mount Upgrade Tokens, Greater Mount Upgrade Tokens is very less to be found in the shops opened by players as there is very less method to obtain these tokens and it cost more than the Mount Upgrade Tokens even in the oldest server that is Aurora Point. Usually players tend to sell these tokens for 2 gold to 8 gold (average rate). Even I myself when i get hands to these tokens I tend to keep these and not to sell it even one.

Therion Token

Purpose : Require to obtain the Genbu mount and upgrade your Genbu into White Tiger, Seiryu and Phoenix. The amount needed for each mount is stated above under types of mounts title. The cost to obtain these tokens is very costly as the mount you get from these tokens are rare with 100% spawn rate and more stronger than any other mount.
How To Get :

1. Through Dragon Hunt under the Red Dragon and Black Dragon by using Red Dragon Coin and Black Dragon Coin respectively. This is currently one of the only active method to obtain the Therion Tokens. To obtain Red Dragon Coin and Black Dragon Coin, you need to purchase these 2 coins from the shop using crystals. You can also obtain these 2 coins from certain events but don't expect much from events as I have mentioned above.
2. Certain Events. For these method what you need to do is always check out the forums for news and info regarding current events that will award you with Therion Token but don't really expect much from these. These events will only boost your amount of Therion Token by a little extra just to help you out in gaining these tokens.
3. Buy from other players when they open their shops selling these tokens or when they post in the world chat asking you the whisper them to buy the Therion Tokens. Compared to Mount Upgrade Tokens and Greater Mount Upgrade Tokens, Therion Token is very rare and sometimes cannot be found in the shops opened by players at all in all the servers as it is quite hard to obtain even 1 therion token. Usually players tend to sell these tokens for 35 gold to 65 gold (average rate). I have never get the chance to obtain even one of these therion tokens as it is very hard to obtain and costly plus my main focus is getting the Hellwing.

Purified Crystal

Purpose : These crystals are required to feed your mount to upgrade your mount levels to provide better mount stats to boost your attack, defense hp and healing which will be further discussed below.
How To Get :

1. Buy using crystals at the shop. The only available pack is the Soul Shard Combo Pack (20% off) where you get 10 Purified Cystals plus 55 Soul Shards, 3 Ice Shards, 3 Brilliance Shards, 3 Void Shards, 3 Light Shards and 3 Heart Shards at the cost of 5060 crystals. Of all the ways to obtain Purified Crystals, this is the easiest and fastest way to obtain it as you use cash. So if you can cash, then I suggest you don't need to really proceed reading other methods below.
2. Buy from other players when they open their shops selling these crystals or when they post in the world chat asking you the whisper them to buy the Purified Crystals. Usually players tend to sell these crystals at the rate of 35 silver to 1 gold (average rate).
3. Certain Events. For these method what you need to do is always check out the forums for news and info regarding current events that will award you with Purified Crystals but don't really expect much from these.
4. Obtainable from all the Dungeons of any mode.

UPGRADING AND LEVELING MOUNT

UPGRADING MOUNT




Upgrading your mount not only changes the physical look of the mount to a better and bigger ones but it also makes your character stronger by adding to your attack, defense, healing, hp and movement speed. Upgrading your mount requires items and percentage of spawn rate as stated above under 'Types Of Mounts' title. For further information, I will only discuss about upgrading solo mounts as upgrading a 2-person mount is a 100% spawn rate and does not depends on Lucky Star system. So upgrading your solo mount is purely based on your luck as it uses the Lucky Star system. So for beginners who have never played this game,

"Lucky Star are precious gifts bestowed upon the mainland by the Goddess of Fate. It is said that picking up these lucky stars can help significantly increase one's luck. Every time you attempt to upgrade a pet, mount or wings, your luck will increase by a random amount. After gaining a certain amount of luck, it will automatically be converted into lucky star. The more lucky stars you have, the greater the chance your item will be successfully upgraded!"

So basically this is the definition and description of the Lucky Star system which will can be obtained in-game when you move your move cursor to the star picture at your mount icon. From this you know why I stated above under solo mount upgrades which is not a 100% spawn rate. Thus, don't feel disappointed and sad once you've failed to upgrade for the first time because you will get lucky stars once you've failed and the more lucky stars you get, the more high chances of getting your mount to upgrade. Usually, to upgrade a mount in your first try is very very rare except for your Black Panther mount because Black Panther is the only mount I get to upgrade for the first-time attempt and i also managed to find out the maximum number of attempts to upgrade which is 3 times. Others I'm not really sure because I did ask other players and myself couldn't find the minimum and maximum number of tries to upgrade other mount through upgrading our other mounts.





LEVELING MOUNT

Now for leveling your mount. First before I proceed, I want to state the maximum level of a mount is level 20 and to level up a mount, you need to feed it with Purified Crystals as discussed above to provide better mount stats to boost your attack, defense hp and healing and you must bear this in your mind leveling up a mount won't provide extra movement speed. Extra movement speed can only be obtained through upgrading your mount as stated above. Feeding a mount to level up a mount requires certain amount and is not fixed for every mount. For example, the Black Panther requires 1 purified crystals in every attempt to level up and the Hellwing requires 27 purified crystals in every attempt to level up. What about the attempts of leveling a mount? Is it 100% or it depends on your luck? I'm sure for beginners you must be asking this questions. Don't worry because every attempt to level up is 100%. So as for the Black Panther and Hellwingboth starts from level 1 if you've managed to upgrade it and thus the total Purified Crystals needed for level 20 Black Panther is 19 and for level 20 Hellwing is 513 respectively. I also have a recommendation here that is to level up only your final mount that you think you can afford. Usually for most player final mount would be either Hellwing or Phoenix. So I'll provide the stats for both this mount at level 20.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

1. What is the use of lucky stars?
   "Lucky Star are precious gifts bestowed upon the mainland by the Goddess of Fate. It is said that picking up these lucky stars can help significantly increase one's luck. Every time you attempt to upgrade a pet, mount or wings, your luck will increase by a random amount. After gaining a certain amount of luck, it will automatically be converted into lucky star. The more lucky stars you have, the greater the chance your item will be successfully upgraded!"
   
2. What is the use of leveling a mount?
   To provide better mount stats to boost your attack, defense hp and healing (movement speed remains unchanged).
   
3. What's the point of adding stats when I just fall off the mount during battle? Will they actually add to my character stats?
   Once equipped, the stats of your mount count towards your total. Even if you are not actually mounted, they still count, as the mount acts as a piece of equipment except that your movement speeds don't count. Once you are not mounted your mount's movement speed won't count towards your total.
   
4. Why I can't upgrade my mount?
   As stated in the above guide, chances of upgrading your solo mount is purely based on Lucky Stars system. Hence, it is not a 100% spawn rate. It depends on your luck. You will failed in attempts to upgrade your solo mounts.
   
5. Do I lose my Hellwing when I upgrade my Genbu to White Tiger?
   No. You won't lose your Hellwing when upgrading your White Tiger so don't worry.
   
6. Why I can't teleport to another location by going through the teleporter NPC when I ride on my two-person mount with my friend?
   There is no reason for this because the fact is you actually can't teleport to another location with your two-person mount carrying 2 players.

SUGGESTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

• Firstly for beginners, I strongly recommend you to upgrade your mount until Mystical Scorpion first before you start upgrading your wings. Why I say so? Obviously to get your free 20 heroic wings after you get the Mystical Scorpion. Next by doing these, you will get a space for your mount slot for you to be able to open your Vidalian Packs and use your White Tiger for those of you who cannot afford to buy the mount slot expander.
• Second, I suggest that you level up only your final mount that you can afford. For example, if you can only afford until Battle Bear, then you max only your Battle Bear to level 20. Don't level up and max your previous mount (Black Panther and Mystical Scorpion) because your effort of upgrading your previous mount will go to waste as once you managed to upgrade your Battle Bear, it will start back from level 1 even though your Mystical Scorpion is level 20.
• Third, if you can cash then I suggest you to level up only your Phoenix until level 20 and keep your Hellwing at level 1 as Phoenix will be stronger than Hellwing at level 20.
