Hi guys,
I know you must be sick and tired about posts about rare pet eggs, but I would like to clarify one thing.
A lot of people on world chat say that you should accumulate a lot of eggs (let's say 10 for angel) and open them the same day in order to have a better chance to hatch a baby. They discourage you to open an egg whenever you happen to get one (through DC or whatever).
Now, statistically speaking this reasoning is flawed. Each egg has a 10% hatch rate (let's assume) regardless of how many eggs you have hatched in the past and if this was 1 second ago or 1 week ago. So opening them all at once or one each day should not matter for the hatch rate.
Now, if the people in world chat are right, this would mean that the chance of hatching an egg increases with each failed attempt, and that this hatch rate resets every day.
If the latter scenario is true, this means that I will have to change my hatching strategy, so I would like to know once and for all: which one is it?
sorry for the extensive post, I hope you understand my concern.
best,
H.
