Cannot use Shadow Strike in Warriors Arena?????

Make shadow strike usable! If you think about it, it's a win-win. Rogues get stealth, and the other person gets the chance to actually kill the rogue. And also separate warrior's arena by level. No matter what event, it's no fun getting one-shotted by someone who is 100+levels higher than you over and over again.

A rogue is only powerful if he/she can cloak and stun. However, you can cloak before arena starts and still get ur stun+burst combo

ya its bullshiit how rogues cant stealth/stun, while other classes can root, stun, become invincible, heal etc... might as well disable all skills then. or just **** on rogues cuz ppl cry so much about them.Originally posted by Shadowlisk View PostDoes more than weaken rogues.... ruins any chance they have against heavy damage/defense classes or ranged classes at all...
1) Priest see unstealthed rogue drops instant curse.... dodge or not still roots the rogue(they can do this three times and spam with bloodbeam)
2) Mage sees rogue uses meteor or the pushback skill then spams with flame explosion(almost never misses rogues)
3) Knight sees rogue crater smash, stun, drag, angelic blessing, then laugh as the rogue suicides off of them due to damage reflect
4) combat rogue sees shadow rogue lightstream, reversal, decimation, finish the job nuff said
5) ranger sees rogue traps +tidal arrow + any other hit = dead rogue
rogue without stealth is a dead rogue... might as well cancel out shadow side completely and force those of use who learned the finesse to shadow to relearn how to play our class using combat(which sucks compared to shadow in regards to pvp)
minimap gives them the exact location of the rogue... no different the telling rogues they cannot stealth... just they can use stun...
simple fix should be the same as what they do/did for hellstorm... rogues can only stealth using shadow strike... this causes the rogue to need to come close and enter striking distance and danger to any class but does not hinder the rogue too much in pvp wise

well yeah because they try to find ways to destroy a characters playability due to noobs.... not a weapons effectiveness that can very well ruin avernal since its mainly cashers that use themOriginally posted by TheRaspberry View PostYeah, it's fascinating how fast they can come up with a nerf for Warrior Arena while we are waiting since March 2013 for a fix in AR, Boto

Well, there's been plenty of suggestions for the avernal boss, and super easy fix like for example made the hellfire bane to be like the Guild boss, it can't be effected by the perfect frag effects. But did they change it ? nope... so let's just hope they really fix the warrior's arena , and it's still bugged as hell too, i killed someone and still getting the no reward bug, no victory / defeat window at all.Originally posted by Shadowlisk View Postthats why i said use the same method they use for hellstorm.... make the rogues initiate battle if they wish to stay stealthed using shadow strike a completely viable and strategic attack skill
but nerfs like this usually signal more small nerfs and them bigger nerfs and so on.... to the point you might as well quit if you are the affected class
which i am close to doing.... r2 would get a lot of thank yous if i quit but a lot more people quitting that server as well

If it's going to be like that, I can assure you this event will be ignored by a lot of people, and in the end no one will participate and no one will gain points.
Because it seems like r2's habit, if things are too difficult to fix / handle, either it will take 6 months - 1 year+ to fix or they just ignore it, like Avernal....

actually ive been attacked by pets without perception in GRB and taken out of stealth because of that..... also you can trigger perception yourself so long as you make the pet start attacking by entering battle.... im not sure exactly what skills doe this but there are a few
another thing they could do to make things a little more fair..... is instead of having a countdown make it a constant buff until hit/attacking/potting and have mana drained every second(say 5-15 mana) this will prevent noobs from abuse and not hinder people like me too much

I thought you meant the just kept attacking, if they didn't even stop moving either you were really unlucky and forgiveness activated on your stun itself, or it is a bug.
For stealth being meant to attack when it is least expected yes, it is. Still, walking up to someone who is surrounded by monsters that could jump them at any second without being seen can not be easy, so the idea that rogues can just use a few skill points and do that regularly with no worries about being detected is kind of absurd to me. For game mechanics wise it is usually accepted that unless there is a big power difference whoever attacks first will win. Stealth as is pretty much guarantees any rogue that isn't stupid enough to use it right in front of someone to hit first.
Maybe if the pet skill perception actually worked it wouldn't be so bad, but as is it only casts when the rogue attacks you, meaning they have already uncloaked themselves.

yeah but what i meant by not flinching is that they would be running and not even bother stopping loll.... but isnt stealth meant for the attack to happen when least expected?

I've got icicle armor, my build is all of ice right tree (which are almost all passives/buffs), and pretty much all of the fire skills after that. As for stealth being overpowered, one thing to remember is that is my opinion of it in general, not just in arena. One of the biggest issues with stealth is you can't do anything about it unless you already know the rogue is there, which you won't know until they have attacked and half killed you.
And so you know, the thing with people not flinching when stunned is because when you get stunned you finish any skill you have already started, it only stops you from casting new skills. This can really be taken advantage of if you know you are about to get stunned by starting a skill with a longer cast time or duration, since that basically makes the stun less effective. I know I like to cast sacred space on a priest when I am about to get stunned in ladder or weekly events (like those scarecrows last week), since it lets the priest in question keep healing the entire party through the stun.
