How do i kill rangers as a mage? Im noob. QQ

It depends on your plain your on as well as the type of ranger your going up against. Typically rangers have daimion shield which makes them immune to all damage for 2 secs, with a CD of 7 secs. If your on scion plain that shield should not be very useful as its not immune to being removed as scion mages new skill "Valley of death" it is missing a description on it. Valley of death removes buffs which is something the skill does not say, due to that reason if you have that skill use it on ranger before you fight as it will remove the diamon shield as well as any buffs a priest may have givin the ranger. This not only damages the ranger but removes there buffs and sheild giving you a good chance to kill.

As far as I know thats the only good tip you need is that skill right there!
    Char: BlackKnight(lvl 140 Eidolon Knight), Jellah(7x priest) Gimina(lv 5x mortal rogue)
    Server: Glacial Planes.
    Guild: Mortal Elites (Sage)

Build lots of crit strike and crit damage, if you are around the same level and strength as the ranger you wish to pvp you should be able to kill them with 2 or 3 skills only.

          do not die? LOL

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?

@Mastercuddles, Nice tip did not think of that one. Mages with high crit strike and crit dmg dont even need to be equal power as the ranger to kill would only take a good hit to do so.

It would be worth noting that crit damage is based on your base attack, so without high matk as a mage, your crit damage isn't going to be all that great even if it is above say 250%.

A good trick to outrange and get an advantage over other ranged classes, such as a ranger is to use your meteor aoe at maxed range so that only the far edge of the aoe pointer is touching your opponent when you launch it, it will hit them before they can get close enough to hit you(A pain if it is a ranger that is going to cast silence on you), it will also stun them for a while so you will have some time to do some damage or kill them if you hit hard enough.

Another tip, for countering rangers is to be cautious if you're chasing them. 9 times out of 10, if they are running they are trying to lure you into a trap. Dreamtrap is a nasty thing to be hit by as it will make you sleep for 18 seconds or until you are hit, enough time for a ranger to heal up and then fire off a Strong Shot which will hurt. The best thing to do is never follow their direct path, follow them but stay a bit to the left or right of the route they are taking, using blink whenever you have the chance, try blink + meteor to stop them from running.

Lastly, the issue with daimon shield, it is an easy thing to counter if you just time your attacks correctly. When you see an eidolon ranger, it is best to wait just out of range of their attack, until their daimon shield triggers, once it wares of you will have 5 seconds to hit them before it triggers again. Chances are though, is that they will be waiting for it to trigger before they attack so be wary and be ready to run away for a couple seconds. Once the shield goes down hit them with a meteor followed by anything that hits hard.

Hopefully these tips will help you mages with the demise of my kind!(Rangers rule!)
