Does marriage give some game advantages for non-payers?

I read in marriage guide that we'll get rings only if buy Diamond Engagement Ring for crystals. Is it still true? (Because some players told me it's not.) And altoghether, will we have any real ingame advantages (like additional protection or skill or exp bonus or something) without spending real money (crystals, I mean)?

It is true that if you buy Diamond Ring you will keep the ring. The others do not. As for advantages, there aren't any except you get a title " ___'s wife/husband" I have heard that after 1 year of ingame marriage, you get a horse-like mount.

Just to clarify- it's not the type of ring you buy to get married with, it's the type of wedding you have. You need to spend crystals on the wedding itself, not the engagement ring, to get the marriage rings.

The official marriage guide is just an overview of the process. Several players were kind enough to gather the missing information, such as in the link I gave you

Correct, you can guy the ring with gold, and earn the intimacy to get married. Or, you can bypass the intimacy requirement and buy the ring with crystals. That's why that option exists- just for the intimacy requirement.

Then, once you have a ring and the required intimacy for that ring, you can get married choosing one of 3 options. Honestly, the best option is the Royal wedding, because you do get both rings.
