  • Major Update Suggestions

    So, I am playing this game for about 8 months now and I must say that the game changed much in that time. There are a lot of things that I really like but as many things that I dislike. Thinking about how to improve this game, to bring back the fun I had when I started and at the same time not cutting down the income that R2 is generating is not an easy task. However, here are things I came up with.

    My intention is to turn this game back to the point where all content is accessible to everyone. I cash too but I don't like that there are so many things that can't be done without cashing anymore. It is causing a major imbalance.

    1. Inventory and Vault

    When I started this game, I had 5 pages inventory and only 1 page of vault. I cashed the expanders right away and had no trouble storing my loot.
    But as this game and also my toon improved, I ended up rather quickly with a full page of vault + permanent 3 pages full of things in my inventory.
    When R2 gave us the second vault page I was finally able to store all items but 1 page of my inventory on my second page. That was great, I still had a lot of space left!

    However, after we got the second page, a lot of new content has been released. Pet equipments, Fragarach mats, Spernal gems, Earth Orbs, a ton of costumes, pets and mounts that want to be stored too. I'm back to 2 full vault pages + 3 pages full of inventory.

    So please give us a 6th inventory page and a third vault page. I don't think that this would take you too much work, especially because you already know how to add an extra page to the vault. It is simply the same coding. And everyone wants them.

    This as well will generate more income for R2 because many people will cash the expander right away.

    2. Pack Expander

    It's pretty much the same issue for non-cash player. They can't store their dungeon drops in their inventory (or have to teleport back to town after each run) because there is no way to get the expanders in-game except by chance and from the daily sign in.

    How about adding them, like vault expander, to the Guild Benefits? C'mon, give everyone a chance, cash player will still get everything first. :P

    3. Goddess System

    The Goddess System was a major change for our gaming expierence and still is. Upgrading it requires crystals, which non-cash player don't have. So their only way to improve on Goddess is to buy / farm roses and turn them in for crystal.

    Now to think about that. If you never cash on loyality, you will still have to pay about $70 to reach your self blessing.
    $70 is 7000 crystal and getting that many crystals with roses alone will take you years. You need 7000 roses!

    How are roses obtained? You can buy them from cashers or get them from special events. So, if there are no special events, like in the current week, how can a non-cash player improve? Even if there were, no matter how many alts you use to abuse events, you won't be able to get close to anything.

    So here are 2 suggestions for this issue.

    1. Add roses permanently to the game. Make them a possible reward at the wishing well and add them to the Green Dragon Hunt.
    Maybe even to the Day in Vidalia packs.
    2. Being loyal should always grand you a benefit. However, this game does not. Staying 24 hours online will give you 96 loyality for the goddess system.
    You can't do anything with it unless you have crystals. So how about adding a second option to the goddess system. 1. Buy with Crystal + Loyality (That is what we have right now) and 2. Buy with loyality only. (Ratio 1 crystal = 1 loyality)

    For example a Blessing takes you for level 1 22 Crystal and 7 Loyality. But instead of buying it that way, you could buy it for 22 + 7 = 29 loyality.
    So how does this not cut down the income of R2?

    Well, that is pretty easy. Knowing that it takes you about 7000 crystal to max your goddess buff, means that you need at least 7k loyality to cover the crystal cost. Add to these 7k loyality the next 10k+ that you will need to actually reach the Max Self Blessing, will make it 17k loyality that you will need in total.

    Going with staying 24 hours a day online - loyal player o.o - will take 6 month of staying permanently online to max the blessing without spending money.
    Cash player won't want to wait 6 months and just cash it, like they did before. All non-cash player will get there someday.

    4. Faith reset

    It just happens that people pick a blessing and then figure out that it is not the best blessing for them. The faith reset card sure is nice when you didn't spend much money on your goddess, but when you already have your self blessing, then you for sure won't pay $2 to destroy $70 + loyality.

    Why can't we get a new kind of Fath reset that only allows us to switch our Goddess without losing anything. I already suggested a Superior Faith Reset card and I still believe that this is just fair since we already supported you with our money.

    That way we would still need to rebuild our loyality (cash?) but won't lose $70. The System was still new and no way to test our own blessing unless we already reached the self blessing. Now I know what blessing would be best for me, but I won't be able to get it other than cashing it on an alt or DESTROYING money..

    5. Hitting the cap - Fragarach, Honor, Mount, Wings, etc

    Part of the vault / bag issue is that we get a ton of items that we don't need. I have farmed several month Wraith/Rueful Soul Essences, I farm Mount Upgrade Token in Exelorn (who would be level 85 without having the Battle bear), I keep getting badges everywhere. I have no way to use up my badges except synthing honor equips and disenchanting them, while not participating in events.

    With all the new content, I keep getting Gold Badges. I'm sitting on so many of them and I already do a daily GMUT synth at krahn, but no matter how hard I try, I keep getting any average of 3 Gold Badges a day. Do I have to synth purple PVP sets, then disenchanting them? :|



    I refuse to toss those items because there might be an event someday where i can exchange them for great rewards but for now, they are just taking up my space. I'm not asking for the new Fragarach Tiers now (I would support them tho), but to give us a use of all the items that we farm.

    The last GMUT exchange was nerfed (I had to level up alts to get rid of some Mount Token) - but I do farm more than 1 stack of Mount Token a day.
    Since we all don't need Mount Token, there could be 2 easy ways to fix this issue and at the same time cut down the amount of GMUT beggars.

    1. Increase the Unit Value of Mount Token. 1 copper per token isn't even worth looting them on my server anymore. The amount of Mount Token farmed by a single high level is enough to cover the whole server. They literally have no selling value, so let us make some gold by vendoring them at NPCs?
    2. Add a permanent GMUT Exchange. Not the regular one, make the cost heavy. 50, 100, 250 Mount Token for 1 Gmut, I don't care, but do something about it.

    For Honor Badges:
    Remove the daily exchange limit. The limit of exchanges will still be the amount of badges that you got.
    Allow us to turn in as many Gold badges as we want for GMUT. At the same time, add more items to Krahn. Allow us to exchange the same amount of Badges for 1 Ethereal Wing. Or even Pixie Upgrade Crystal.

    6. Survival of the Fittest rewards

    The rewards for Survival of the fittest sure are nice, but at some point you will maxed all honor equips, your mount and your guild level will be above level 7. How about adding some more rewards for the Guru Medal like Ethereal Wings, Guild Medailon Gold (takes 3 Guru instead of 1), Pixie Upgrade Crystal, etc.
    For Elite medals: How about roses?
    For master medals: Maybe Soul Print?

    7. Sperion and the insane cost to upgrade it

    Sperion is rather new but seeing how the Goddess System never changed, i doubt that there will be much improvement on Sperion.
    So here are a few suggestions:

    1. Spernal is a really tough dungeon, most people can't solo and people even have trouble when going in as a party. How about giving all players 1 Soul Print as reward upon defeating all 7 bosses or to make Soul Print a drop at a very low rate. The NPC that allows you to leave the dungeon could check if you lost all 7 negative buffs (this confirms that you have been inside the dungeon from the start to the end) and if you lost all 7 buffs, you can claim your reward of 1 Soul Print (BOUND).

    Knowing that you need 700+ Soul Print to max your sperion and you only have 5 runs a day, makes it a minimum of 140 days farming spernal to max you sperion.
    Arent 5 months of loyal playing this game fair enough? If you consider that too easy, then how about adding Soul Print (unbound) as a possible Boss drop (max 1 per run). No high level could just carry other people through spernal for the reward.

    An that is just the Soul Print cost. You still have to farm all the rod shards (which makes it not worth to go with more than 2 people) and you also need to farm the earth orbs to max your sperion before morphing.

    Same for the gems. A cash player just buys the level 7 gem (they are rather cheap) but a non-cash player will need many many many gems from spernal + 600 PC to synth them to level 7 ones (starting from level 3 gems only, so more PC if you start at lower grades). Why do they have to be bound? Farming 1800 pc to get 3 level 7 gem takes quite a while for a non-casher that can't even afford VIP.

    Make that content accessible even without special events. It's the same as my Goddess suggestion, no casher is gonna wait 6 month to max that.

    8. Sengolia

    People suggest for months to make sengolia a fair battleground. Adding HP to the crystal won't work because low levels on new servers can't end their seng but letting everyone do % dmg to the crystal could work. As well as ending the whole spawnkill scenario, people don't enjoy sengolia anymore.

    When I started playing no one could just end seng by themself. No, the whole team had to work together.

    if you can't fix sengolia, consider developing a new battleground with similiar rewards. Make it like tamalan and let people buy skills that do % damage.
    Those skills should be class specific, like priests are the only class allowed to buy curses / healing skills, knights the only class to buy dmg reduction skills, rogues the only one to buy stealth skills, etc. There won't be op players and there won't be spawnkilling because everyone would be equal and it would only matter how well you can play. This would be refreshing! i want a battleground that doesnt benefit anyone and that makes this game challenging.

    9. The strong get stronger, the weak stay weak

    It is true that r2 is handing out a lot cash shop items compared to when the game started. However, who is winning those events?
    Avernal, Treasure Trove - OP players win all the time. Especially the one who cashed much and don't need the rewards.
    Crypt is dominated by the people with the best connection and who can use some neat tricks like talking to each other in real life.
    World Boss Rebirth Quest - Cmon, OP players get the kills. so many people can't finish their quest.
    Ladder floor 75 challenge *drool*
    Guessing Game - Need to abuse alts for that, unless you want to wait forever to get rewards.

    I demand Ethereal Wings and/or GMUT as a dungeon drop. Not at the rate of Heroic Wings or Mount Token, but maybe 1 per run.
    That would take away that you have to be lucky or already have to be op to get the rewards.

    Don't have to add them to the current dungeons but how about the level 110 dungeon when it comes out? Please stop giving us more Heroic Wings or more Mount Token. When I started playing this game, dungeons were fun because I was able to farm the items that I need to improve.
    Now its all chance based or you need to have alts on mass. I would love to be able to get 1 click on my wings all 2-3 days by just farming my dungeons. It takes me 300 eth wings to get a single upgrade on them, even if I farm 10/day from a dungeon, I will still have to farm a whole month just for 1 single upgrade.

    10. Ladder Floor 75

    Reaching Ladder Floor 75 was nice last week, however, now there is no more benefit to it. Why bother going above floor 70 anymore?
    I would like to see a benefit for reaching floor 75. How about adding a NPC like Shaun on floor 65 that could hand out some need items like 1 Soul Print / 1 Ethereal Wing / 1 GMUT. Just any benefit would do and it is not easy to reach 75. There won't be any flood of items on the market just because floor 75 starts to be rewarding instead of how it is now.

    Soul Shards are given for each 10th floor that you beat, well, floor 75 is hard to divide by 10 without having a rest.

    11. Weekly Events

    Most of the weekly events are really tiring. Killing bosses every hour, getting to high floors in ladder, plant something on several alts to keep up, how about events that are new and actually fun. I saw quite a few nice suggestions like the one from Alexmancer.

    12. More content

    Ladder floor 80, level 120, new fragarach tiers, new pvp set, etc etc.

    13. Too much of a clickfest

    This game requires too much clicking. We already have an item synthesis system, how about shorten our time by using it more often.
    Shouldn't be that hard to add the Gem Exchange to the Item Synthesis. Also remove the time it takes to synth items. When we set the counter to x, why can't we synth all of them at once but have to synth them 1 by 1.
    Same for Shard Exchange, Charm Exchange, and all upcoming events that requires us to click. Allow us to enter th ammount of exchanges that have to be done.

    My suggestions all aim towards giving people the chance to get the items that they need without being major casher, but it will take time for them. Several months of time. I think being loyal to R2 and Crystal Saga should be rewarded.

    And to clarify: I am concerned about all the people who quit this game on my server. We are 4 servers merged into 1 and people are dropping like flies. People that started with me and now just quited due to not being able to catch up to casher after we had a multi merge.

    I'm one of the few people who win avernal / trove all the time, my guildies win crypt all the time, I have my hellwing and don't even need gmut, have a self blessing and have my superior sky attack sperion - I dont really need Soul Print. I finish my worldboss quests every day but I know that there are many people who are disappointed about not being able to, No matter how hard they try. They won't catch up, unless this game turns a little bit back to how it was, giving them a chance to keep up even without exploiting every single event. It's getting boring.

    I'm adding some more things. Will probably add more later on. Instead of having all suggestions in different threads that might not be seen, I'll just put all of them iin this one.

    14. Dragon Hunt

    Spending $1.5 on a Black Dragon Coin just to get 7 Socketing Rods or a Bloodforge/Phantom shard, even a Badge, is just not worth it.
    I would probably buy Dragon Coins more often if there wouldn't be so much trash on the wheel. Players have already suggested to remove all the useless things with items that people need. The rods and shards were put in Dragon Hunt at a time when people actually needed those items.

    Now, how is 1 Bloodforge or 1 Phantom Shard a great benefit anymore since you can get Epic Relics that give your synthed items right away. With fragarach, all the exp events, blessings, all the honor ingame, there aint many people who still have trouble doing nightmare psychodelica or nightmare sr.

    How about adding Soul Prints to the Dragon Hunt aswell? Soul print x 2 for Black Hunt and Soul Print x 1 for Red Hunt. The big issue is as well that the odds to get the **** items is rather high. Mana orbs, Exp Token, Offline Token, Socketing Rods, Epic Shards, I get them all the time. I don't know of any player who has been playing for more than a few weeks without maxing their Mana reserves by doing Day in Vidalia. The current Dragon Hunt is not tempting to buy Coins.

    15. Fix bugs instead of changing the typos

    Many bugs has been reported, GMs always said that they would work on it. However, most of the "bug fixes" are only changed typos.
    Little Reaper had no magical base attack, the fix was to change the typo of the physical attack for all pets to "deals a basic magical attack".
    One of the GMs said that the eidolon rebirth quest is for eidolon only, when scions were able to accept it. The fix was to change the typo to "Scions and Eidolon" instead of making it eidolon only as intended.
    Level 10 can't enter Starglade (Note: "Must be level 10 or above to enter starglade") got fixed by changing the typo to level 11.
    And many many many other things has been fixed by just changing the typo.

    16. Get a better ticket support and hire more devs

    As soon as people have trouble with the game, they are told to file a ticket. Now, first, the ticket system doesn't sent ticketnumbers and/or replies to non-us email providers.
    It made me really mad to never get a response until I figured out that I have to use a gmail account. But that alone didn't make things better.
    The ticket system is horrible. It takes several mails to fix an issue and you have to explain your issue as if you are talking to a kid that never ever played this game before. If the people, who reply to tickets would at least play this game and know what we are talking about then players would be more satisfied with it and issues would be resolved rather fast.

    The ToDo list for crystal saga is pretty huge, seeing how r2 games decided to host 2 games (wartunes and crystal saga) makes me believe that they have way too less developers. I know so many people who cashed sperion to the max level right away. Knowing that it takes about 1.5k USD to buy all the earth orbs / rods / soul prints per person... cmon you have money. Hire more devs (even if its only for a short period of time) and get your todo list done. People pay to improve this game.

    17. Don't let us waste our time

    Seeing how long it takes me to loot items even with afk mode looting, hitting spacebar and clicking with my mouse at the same time, it still takes quite a lot time to loot all items. Adding up all the time it takes me to loot my dungeons as VIP player who also tends to use dungeon keys comes close to an hour a day for looting alone. Especially psychodelica takes a ton of time for looting and Exelorn Hollows want to be looted rather fast too due to the totem buff timer. So please shorten the interval between item picking for afk mode.

    Also see #13. I don't know why everything takes a few hundred clicks and why items have to be synthed 1 by 1.

    Oh and World Boss Rebirth Quests as well take up more than an hour a day (given my luck on world boss spawns).
    And as I just read in an other thread, Training Ground takes far too long to spawn new waves. Now that everyone has fragarach and can kill all mobs in no time with frost, why do we have to wait so much time for the next wave?

    18. Remove: Cannot be placed in vault

    Would add this to my first post, but it doesn't allow me to extend the post.
    I know, going with real life logic isn't the way to go in this game but my vault is apparently big enough to store 200 mammoth/hellwing but not big enough to store combat vitality flasks..

    Remove "Cannot be placed in vault" from the game to allow us more bag space. Especially event items should be allowed to be stored.

      I'm whole-heartedly agree with everything stated above. Especially the points on making contents accessible to everyone. As a non-casher, when I started playing the game more than 1 year ago, it was enjoyable as I was able to see my toon improved slowly everyday through farming wings and MUTs from dungeons for my upgrades, or participating in Sengolia for the honor and better pvp equip.

      However, with all the newly released contents, the joy stated above has been fading away rather quickly. There are tons of things that I want to upgrade now, for example: my wings, pixie, but it is taking months for a single upgrade, just because of the insane amount of materials required and the limited, chance-based ways of obtaining them. And I know many other people are also having that same problem, not only on wings and pixie, but even mount and sperion.

      I know that many of the new contents are considered end-game contents, and therefore might take months of playing to max out. But it has been 6 months since I hit Ultimate Demigod VIII, and now I'm only on Extreme AL +2, how long more do you guys want it to take? Considering that higher upgrades on DL will take even more EWings per upgrade. And not only on wings, as I stated above, I know many people who have been playing for almost a year, and are still stuck on a battle bear (because they didn't save up gold for GMUT event, spent gold on upgrading other aspects of their toons), or people who now will be stuck with their sperions because they can't obtain soul print anymore and have to wait for some cashers to sell those to them.

      Not to sound offensive or pessimistic here, but most browser games don't last for more than 3 years, or 4 years at most. Actually, most games don't, not just browser games. With that life time of a game, I believe that a consistent hard-work in 6 months should allow us to max out 1 upgrade aspect that the game gives us. Like sebastian stated above, 5-6 months of consistent playing daily should allow a non-casher to at least obtain either hellwing (starting from bear), or max sperion, or reaching at least a considerably high wings, or max goddess blessing, or may be all of the above if the person can participate in ALL daily dungeon/event attempts.

        Sperion is forcing people to exploit much, even tho events pull many soul prints into the market, most people don't have the buying power. More and more people reach Ultimate Demigod Wings VIII and start selling Heroic Wings (like the only high demand item besides cash shop items), the market price is going lower and lower, while more people start buying Ethereal Wings/Sperion Items. It is not easy to keep up in this game.
        On the otherhand there are some really OP players who even pilot chars in avernal (Also, have no self blessing? Good luck to get into the tops) just to always get into the tops.

        All the items we obtain from events like avernal, trove, crypt, and weekly events are pretty limited in their amount. If you can't outbuy others, then you won't get as many items as you need. Avernal is even worse for people who don't play a dps class.

        The way to play this game as a non-major casher is to make alts alts alts just to abuse them. There have been chars named "GimmeMC1" to "GimmeMC40" after the halloween events on my server. People made so many alts to farm tricky boxes, to then hatch bone dragons from the rex-boss, to exploit to pet extravaganza for Morph Crystals.

        The fact that there is apparently a need to exploit is enough to realize where this game is going.
        The same goes for all the GMUT alts that are made to exploit the mount extravaganza.

        I need 300 Ethereal Wings per upgrade at Ultimate Angel Lord and I heard of other players who had upgrades that took them up to 1k Ethereal Wings at the higher Demon Lord wings. I refuse to spend $100 per wing upgrade (buying the $65 eth wing pack at ladder 50 npc) for a minor bonus in stats. And I can tell that even with winning the permanent events it is not enough to work on you wings. Knowing that the Emperor Wings, that we will get someday, require a new Cash Shop item above Ethereal Wings and seeing how few people maxed their wings yet, doesn't make me feel confident.

        Too bad that I don't like to play alts and that I don't have the time to level them all up to exploit. I will soon enough be at the point again that I have nothing else to do but farming dungeons and failing some chances to void my whole efford. But I'm sure that by the time that I get a few upgrade on my wings, that there will be some new content that requires insane cash and won't let us farm the mats ingame. By then I might quit. Nopoint in playing a game that lost all its balance for some fast profit.

              Lol yeah you're right about too much clicking, especially when vending items from dung. Also ridiculous to upgrade your spherion or wings. Been stuck at the same wings for probably about 6 months lol, never bought since that clover event where you get chance of x10 EW. Almost everything impossible to get, even though it is technically available in game. Like pixie, PUC may be reward from eidln pack, but it'd take hundreds of packs. Usually events are somewhat good, but not really enough to get stronger. There should be some way for players to slowly get stronger, not get to a certain point and be stuck. I quit for like a month since there was literally nothing to do except dung all day. But yeah, you cover a lot of the problems with CS atm and hope it gets fixed. Seems a lot less people play than when there was less content available. It's just too hard and pretty much impossible to upgrade after a certain point. I hope that they listen to some of your ideas, especially doing being able to upgrade their characters slowly and not just be stuck.

                Seconding all these items, they're logical and -should- already have been long done. Especially the Bugs Vs. Typo's:
                Many things get a reply like "we'll look into it" or "bug added to our list", I count about 10 actual bugs in say 2 weeks notice on the forums, what do I see on the weekly update? "typo fixed" that was mentioned 2 days before maintenance.
                There is no giant bug-list, there's only a "can't-be-bothered-to-do"-list: they aren't getting done anymore.

                I feel as if CS is slowly becoming to a stall with slower updates, disappointing updates (read: cash-only), the bugs are kept in the game as long as they're no "serious" problem (lv65 nature eidolon ranger can't get through KD fire so can't do the dungeon). These have been mentioned for aeons ago, replied by GM's. we get a typo fix instead because, as far as I'm seeing the trend here, that's the easier way.

                  Yea, the only way for rangers without orbs/blessed stones is to stick to the lower wall to pass the fire.
                  It shouldn't be like that.

                  I hope they will consider a few of the ideas especially the dungeon loot issue. Even as a casher myself, the amount of money needed is just too much. Especially when thinking about the emperor wings which will need another cash shop item called 'Devine Feathers':


                  There will be many more updates like this, just need to check out the other versions of this game and it is just no more challenge. And no new player will ever catch up on souldev anyway, so why is it so hard to get all other things besides soul that might lead to some balance?

                  Also other versions of this game sell cash mounts that are on par with mounts like Hellwing or even Phoenix. While R2 tries to avoid that people catch up to major casher. Other versions realized long ago that a major imbalance doesn't work, there is a reason why their cash shop sells items for about 1/10 of the price that R2 is charging. Japanese servers even drop GMUTs in Exelorn Hollows. Just bring back some balance at least.

                  And even for major casher, after beating floor 75 ladder, and 1hitting some people .. there is nothing left lol. I'm getting bored in this game.
                  There isn't even a need to improve in stats.

                  Sure, make some new servers, let people cash to be op there, let the non-casher quit and merge the casher into older servers.
                  They ain't that likely to quit, duh?

                      No one else got an opinion about these suggestions? Would be nice to have as many opinions as possible to work out some balance for the game. Opinions of R2, the players, casher and non-casher.

                        Just read your comment after my post, if the original CS has started dropping Gmut's in Exelorn Hollows, R2 has no longer an excuse to keep the item event/cash-only. Now it's just greed.

                        As for the game dying, all new updates have been cash-orientated. There are huge threads about priests making them a usefull pvp-char yet all are being ignored: players are getting abandoned by R2 for cash.
                        Since with eidolon-planes and the age of some servers PvE has no longer a challenge, what's the purpose of building a DPS-priest if you already know you'll be taken out by a lv60 mortal rogue anyways? A lot of priest-players already gave up, quit, or started over. Without priests we can't do Ladder. We need more balance in all classes to keep all classes in-game and alive (priest isn't the only class but it's a clear example of needing a fix).
                        New content can wait if we can get our current content/classes fixed up first, balanced out. The excuse of "Original CS has to do it first" isn't valid any longer since R2's CS is the only one with such a supporter-based (with still nerfed skills) priest and cash-orientated setup of the game-content.

                          im poor im playing CS 3 months ago but im still noob lvl 64 wing demigod mount battlebear pet super angel+4 and all my friend quit im the last palying this game in my place

                            Agree to most suggestions specially #'s 4,7,13,14,17.
                            the only reason i'm staying to this game is because of the people i am playing with.
                            Looking forward for those suggestions in their new updates.

                              Fantastic suggestion.

                              Actually all R2 has to do is to reduce the price for cash items or make the point system in cash shop permanent.

                              Lower price, more top up which leads to more cash item flow to the economy. Simple logic but R2 rather bank in on the few top cashers rather than the majority. They'll probably feel the effect when top casher gets bored and quit or the majority gave up and leave.
