Can priest get a better healing skill? All we have is light heal... That is the only skill that really matters for a holy priest yet we dont get massive upgrades like everyone else, just noob light heal. The cast time of grace makes it no better than light heal its actually the same exact amount of heal as light heal since u can do light heal 2 times in the amount of time it takes to cast grace. So really the only healing skill we have is light heal. id like to see an improved light heal... seems pretty lame that the healing class has to use the same healing skill forever

yea sacred space is eidolon and i can already tell it sucks cuz it heals 150% hp every 2 sec vs 187% hp every 1.5 sec from light heal. circle of healing has a 12 second cooldown, and angels blessing doesnt count. so yea, priests only have 1 basic noob healing spell. while all other classes get to have improved spells that are super op

Sacred space is good in a pinch, when something went wrong and everyone's taking damage because it will heal everyone in your party in ladder. Sacred Space can make the difference between a complete wipe and giving the tank a chance to fix everything. It's also particularly helpful in floor 44 which has reflect.
If you have amazing tanks that can do it all and get really high, then yes, light heal is all you need. But if you're in a party where the tank isn't super powerful, then you SHOULD invest at least 1 skill points in those other spells. and I never said they had to be close to me for healing wave. I said they had to be close to each other. For circle of healing, though, they should be close to me. If they're close to the tank, and I'm close to all of them, then they can get both healing wave and circle of healing while I keep targeting the tank.
and many parties can't get 2 priests. I'm not an overly powerful priest. Being level 96, I don't get much of a balancer so I only get about 13000 heal stat in ladder, but I can still heal a tank to level 51, even though that tank has only 780 soul and no gems, and I do so because I can see the value the other skills have that many people don't see. Actually circle of healing isn't twice as fast, its actually takes 3.5 seconds longer than light heal and heals less. Sure healing wave is good and everyone uses it, but it has a 12 sec cooldown and does not count as a main heal. and with sacred space, it heals the same amount as light heal just to all the party members which is useless if your light heal isnt good enough to keep your tank alive anyways. So in the end there is no better heal than light heal and there should be an improved light heal

I know not everyone sees value in the other healing skills because of their strong tanks, but to outright say that Light Heal is the only skill priests have is just plain INCORRECT. The other skills are useful when certain conditions are met and it's the job of a good player to decide when to use them and when the spam light heal.(S14)Squintina

This topic is started by some boozoo who runs ladder with only one tank and that tank is the dps as well. A good mage will steal the aggro from any knight any day.
I run ladder with 2 healers both eidolon lv115 atm, a DPS mage that steals aggro from anything and a random 5th. I need both healers in order to survive lv52 and 50. Double sacred space is perfect here because you all whine about it not being able to match light heal, but in all that you forget it heals everyone, not just the one target you're aiming.
If you gank lv45 in ladder without having some OP guy with you that solo's it you'll see that the mobs aoe everyone. Double sacred space + 2 dps' on afk attacking keeps all 5 members alive every time because it's every 2sec two 50k heals. And what do you know, that is 50k heal p/sec Vs. Lightheal's 54k p/1.5sec. Double sacred space > light heal even for single targetting. Not to mention that Sacred Space heals all 5 members, so this actually does 250k heal p/sec. Now tell me this isn't a good skill again and light heal makes it obsolete.Crystal Saga:

It's all about how you use the skills. Improved skills don't really do much more damage... I'm a rogue, and I'll use assassin's thrust as an example. My regular, basic, assassin's thrust does 150k damage crit (I don't know normal non crit damage because I'm a rogue...I usually always crit.) That's the skill I can learn at lvl 1. Now master assassin's thrust... does about 153k damage. 3k damage more for lvl 80 skill? I'll take the lvl 1 skill and save skill points. So if they were to get an improved light heal... would it really be an improvement? Considering the only difference between improved/master versions of skills is the bonus damage tacked on at the end? Or in this case...extra heals added on to what they already heal for.
