I can't recall in-game mods, but then again I wasn't here the first few months. Can you tell us what the disappointing part was about this?
As for what I know, the game changed a lot, and so did the community. Started out mostly english speakers, now the only thing english about the game are the dialogues from npc's, on top of that spamsite going at it 24/7 promoting.

For JessieAileen's post: the in-game moderators would have the same responsibility as forum moderators right? Plenty of people insulted the forum mods and still I can't recall much power-abusing so I don't see why an in-game mod would bring any different outcome. (ofcourse in-game the use of foul language can't be edited with some pink hearts so should be dealt with more stricter)

There is corruption in everyone. I see this being a serious problem. I do like the idea but this is what I see happening:
ex #1: A veteran player is given muting powers to help clean up the chat from gold/xtal spammers. The player is a strong player from one of the top guilds. Someone from a rival guild annoys him by talking ****. He hands a mute down to this player, for reasons other than what his powers were intended for.
ex #2: A newish player is given muting powers to help clean up chat from gold/xtal spammers. The player does not know a ton of people. He does a genuinely good job cleaning up the chat, until he has a misclick. He accidently mutes someone. That person and all of his friend start harassing the player and KSing him all the time. His enjoyment of the game is ruined.

I do see this as being a semi-good idea if it was properly planned. The problems that I see are, that regardless of how good of a person someone is there is always going to be the intention of muting someone that is being a jerk. There is always the possibility of a mistake. These things alone could make the game less enjoyable for all players, or not enjoyable at all to the person holding the responsibility. In the end no one is happy.

Its why there is an ignore button. These spammers are annoying as hell, I agree. But overall, you ignore them and then you dont have to see it anymore. They are constantly changing toons because they KNOW that no one is seeing them because of the ignores. So every couple months empty your ignore list and start over.

Thank you Levest, I really think so too.

The bright side of this is it's just in-game spamming/flooding of the same messages...
Even if that in it's own way is annoying, but it could be worse such as cyberbullying, harassment, and what not and seeing this community on a few servers and other RPG games from the R2 family, that isn't the case or if so it's hardly noticeable, most players are civil to another and they get along really well.

Granted this is just the Crystal Saga Servers and community, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was everywhere else also.

But to eliminate the spammers/scammers would really help members, generally you can ignore them but it gets harder to do if more and more do this.

I definitely agree with this. In my opinion, all MMO games should have some sort of moderation system in-game.

Feel free to respond with a comment I think the more members that actually respond/vote on the poll could help us.

I don't know if it's just me but when they spam Buy now for extra gold and all this stuff, it's commonsense that its a scam, for many players we're aware.

But for some they could lose their accounts and everything they worked hard for. I really hate that happening but also hate the fact they can spam this message every minute.

Or not? I just always keep seeing those "Real money" trade items for gold constantly on the S62 BloodShed Hollow server. =[
