No More chance at Hecate for Free Players (requirement changed to ace of spades)

Spoiler for those who haven't checked an oceanic server yet: House of Cards is the next event, starting August 31st, and they changed the cost of Hecate from 4 ace of hearts to 4 ace of spades. Master of Poker remains unchanged and still only gives Ace of hearts (at 30K points), so unless they introduce an ace swapping feature, Hecate has become a medium/heavy-casher-only hero.

Before, a patient player could slowly work their way towards Hecate, hitting 30K in Master of Poker repeatedly over several months. It required something like 150K HOC points over four Main HOCs, but it was possible if you planned properly. Ace of Spades has no comparable method of acquisition for free players: if you want them, you need to spend diamonds.

I really hope that there is going to be some sort of ace swapping hot event that just hasn't been started yet, cause right now it feels like even the smart free players have been kicked in the face on this one.


Even as a casher I'm rather upset at this: last HOC I dumped more diamonds than I should have trying to get Hecate. I ended up 1 ace of hearts short, and got 5 ace of spades in the process. I was hoping to get the Ace of Hearts from Master of Poker this time for Hecate and try to pick up ES next month with the spades, but now I'm stuck choosing between Hecate and ES, or spending even more diamonds to get both.

Hmmm this is gonna hurt. There are maybe a handful of old free players getting Hecate for free and they already changed it. Possibly due to the bragging of free hecate on forum cause them to realize it is not good for business I guess.

If you have time, can you also give an account of how much does it cost for Light Envoy? Colour of cards, how many L, S and A? I would really like to know that.

Must agree that this thing really sucks, if you get enough spades you'll choose ES as he's far better than hecate.

Regarding Light envoy it costs: 2L joker, 4S Joker, 4A of heart, 8K of Spades, and 8k of heart..... doesn't worthy...

Agree that why this event sucks, they should at least reward one Ace when you draw 10x the mystery chest... that's 40$ and not getting at least one doesn't really make you wanna try again...

Hey Possible for you to tell the ES and Hecate Requirements...with screenshots....I don't remember the rank of my cards but I remember what they look like. I was so hoping to get Hecate or ES this time. 3 months of waiting all gone.

the cards for Hecate and ES are pretty much the same... the only difference is the Kings,you need King of spades for Hecate

so when hecate need ace of spade and master poker dont give that card, it means f2p cant get that except use diamond to open high grade chest, right?

so what is the best f2p can get then without using any diamond then?

well you could still save it. the only problem here is the ace. so try to get all the other cards.
then try to get four aces of hearts. this is just the first time Hecate ace requirement got changed. maybe the next Hecate HOC event, they change it back.
since you are f2p, you have nothing else to do but this. Worst case will be that this one is permanent but still you have other Heroes that can be swapped with ace of hearts
