Totem itself isn't really the problem here - it was coming eventually, thing was sitting in Totem Diagrams for forever, and there's more like it on Chinese servers. It'll change up the game meta, but people's strategies will evolve to meet it.

It's just absurd they're giving out a ruby Spiritsoul totem for first place this beach treasure - puts all the previous prizes to shame. Heck, even a ruby totem in general seems worth more than the last first-place prize. Can I refund my prizes from last beach treasure so I can win this one?

actually, no. the one using spiritsoul can still use spiritsoul+LE as a makeshift rage build

only when both have spiritsoul, will the game be decided by the raw power

So in other words, raw stats will decide the battle outcome in the end , tactics will come in to play but not as much as the need for raw power to overwhelm your opponents.

I'd get the same from the hot events this time so yeah, I'd totally be down for returning everything I got last beach treasure to win this one. Only thing would be missing a day of the bonus for shells because this is three days instead of four like the last one, but I only went to 12k points last time so it's still the same.
My server's pretty young so ruby totems in general are a big deal - I don't think there's any on my server yet and likely won't be any for a good while - so my viewpoint's a bit skewed, though. But that's ignoring just how good a spiritsoul totem's effects are.

Oh well, hopefully most of these will go to people with lots of money and not a lot of brains so I don't have to worry about them. c:

You can get same totem or get dragon totem. Ya, otherwise it will somehow counter Rage build...
Btw... this totem was known like from 1st day of totem system invention... shouldn't people mind this?

It will counter just some Rage builds. Those that built their buffers up, won't have a problem against that totem, no matter if defending or attacking. It will force them to use a dragon totem, but it's not a big deal if their strikers can still one hit heroes.

Ye, it's been discussed. Just like it was mentioned, that it doesn't change much, that you'll have to use a dragon totem instead of any other.
Can your striker one hit enemy heroes without fire totem? If no, you've built your hero wrong so you're the only one you have to blame. If yes, congratulation, you won't have problems with spiritsoul totem.
As far as the -% damage from fire totem, if that's what you were using.. if people couldn't one hit your heroes, you were fighting weaklings. And if those weaklings can beat you just because of you removing fire totem, you deserve to lose.
The only issue is the inability to use charm totem against such players, but then again who even uses charm totem? The high BR players dismissed it as being useless.

Well then, don't cry that your party has been countered if you won't even bother to try and find a way to counter it instead. Problem with people here has always been that they don't want to use their gray tissue to fix their problems and just count on others. If you think that it's such a big problem and that you won't be able to recover, just be done with it as you named the topic.
