Clothing Identification Success Rates

I went ahead and used cores on various weapon cloaks. On B clothes, I was able to, using only 3 cores each, bring one up to 4 stars and the other to 5 stars. I also used one core on D and it went up 1 star. No failures thus far. I guess I got lucky on the B clothes.

After you identify and start using cores you can't "fail", but you can go down, ex: you get 3 stars and want to try for 5 stars, you can then end up getting 1 star again. The new refinement auto replaces old one, so it does need some luck.

Question: after you get that initial 1 star and you start using cores, does the rate of success stay the same? For example, 20% for S, 40% for A, and so on?

S-Level - 2 tries, 2 success
A- Level - 30 tries, 5 success
B-Level - 20+ tries, 3 success
D- Level - 20+ tries, 1 success

First Tried 1 S clothing
7 tries for 4 A clothing
20+ tries for 6 B clothing
4 tries for 3 C clothing
3 tries for 1 D clothing

My luck was all over the place

Took me:
10 attempts for 2S (20% success exactly lol)
16 attempts for 3A
10 attempts for 7B
2 attempts for 1 D

7 tries on Vampiric Fury/S rank, no luck

I didn't count. Spent about 22m to get:
1 S
3 A
5 B
2 C
4 D

I do remember a string of A failures, but the S definitely took less than the expected 5 tries.

i cant complain. did only rank D and B and so far my successrate is close to what it should be.. but i agree about cloth synthesis having very misleading descriptions... their "good" really feels like 10%.

Got all my weapons done. Will slowly work on armor and wings until I have to enchant more 80 gear. Doesn't seem too bad so far.
