Even cashing hard, you can get beaten by 20-30k lower guys.
You can do worse in Necro or Sky Trail.
And of course, depends no the amount of money you spend

30% time spent
20% internet conection and pc quality
10% skills

"Skill" can matter for certain, but only if you are roughly close to each other "real power". If not, do not bother, you ll get waxed even with auto-attack...

I'm myself 140k BR. I regularly kill 155k-160kish mages in BG or in CW.
Also, if an archer is playing smart (and has rage rune or a lot initial rage), even 140k BR can finish me quickly.

Salata from kong-s5 (Server 3 Europe) is winning CW finals on a regular basis and he's up to 30k lower than a few top guys on EU servers.

Also LinKeTong having 20-30k BR more than everyone else kept being 3rd in CW finals.
