For the costumes, some people might have just recharged their account. Also, its not like they're gonna give those who have crystal mounts that deal a **** load of damage. Be glad u get a title from a event. They can't do anything about the boss, its like that with all monsters, first come first serve. The coupon exchange actually gives players a ton of power, they only make it two hours so that noobs can't complete vault NM all five times. They don't load teh cakes with good stuff cause you are already getting tons of good stuff. If you raise the party bear it could be strong, also u r judging it without getting one. Seriously?

I'm not really sure how to start this off so let me just jump right into it.

Events that worked and why

planting events such as the orange event (the one where they dropped from elites and the one with the given oranges) This event worked because everyone could participate and the rewards were useful. People could kill elites outside of town away from other players and you were guaranteed to at least get soemthing for your effort. The only possible downside of this event type was lack of planting space in bloodfang.

Any type of online X hours to claim prize event. This event type works because everyone can participate and it rewards you for your time and dedication to the game. Is everyone gonna give up 2-3 hours of sleep to get one more reward? Probably not but for those that do you've earned it.
Character development reward events. Sure people complain that the strong players are getting stronger but hey you still get something as well for what little you have done on your character. But this is a nice reward for those that have worked to develop their character or have payed money to develop their character to give the game the revenue it needs to even have the event in the first place to give you your reward.

mounts/costumes/pets for crystal. These events are nice because it gives people the chance to buy a new outfit they like or a cool looking mount or pet regardless of the stats if people want to buy it then hey its their money (which is going into a game you are probably playing for free so dont complain)

Quest/in game event completion events such as the ladder rewards the bounty hunting quest and the world boss quests. These events are good because they are mostly level based and reward players for stuff they most likely do in game anyway.

I'm also sure there are others but I really dont wanna be here all day lol

Events that didnt work and why
Thieves event. This event was initially plagued by major skill exploits but it was patched (good work R2) However after the fact it was still more about attack speed than anything so mostly benefited players with higher attack speed allthough there were enough thieves to go around so that most people at least got something. Unlike with the clown event.

invasion events I.E. wild turkeys, exelorn. this type of event while not overly terrible as they were just more powerful boss type monsters still allowed for kill stealing and imbalanced it more towards DPS classes.

Good friend packs. OMG whoever came up with this one should be ashamed in thinking that people on the internet are trustworthy lol. Not only could people scam you in trying to trade them but I seem to remember an awful lot of shops in town ending up dead around when those packs were released. On the other hand though the rewards were ok and if you could trust your "friends" it was a decent event.

and I'm sure there are also more but these are just the major ones that come to mind and I dont wanna be here all day

now I'm noticing that most of the major flop events all have one thing in common. They all revolve around killing predictably spawning monsters and bring to light the inherent inbalance between character classes. Now this is not the GMs fault as character inbalance is a function of the game itself. If all character classes were just as good as all the others in every way then why bother making more than 1 class. So based on this built in feature of the game it may not be possible to perfectly balance these type of events. I certainly cant think of a way right off the top of my head. But why not hybridize them with an event that "works" for alck of a better word. For instance instead of the thieves spawning in town where people could set their alts up in afk or be ready to exploit anything they can to get the rewards, have the thieves/clowns spawn as elites out in the wild at for instance roughly the same rate as regular elites. Even if this means dumbing down the rewards to compensate for the dozens that will likely be killed a day. Or for the invasion ones like exelorn you could have an extra option when entering the dungeon (invasion 1/1) for instance that does not take away from your regular dungeon runs. or have them appear like redemption bosses where you get an item like in the mothers day event (which also worked by the way) and go to area (whatever) and spawn it in the wild in whatever instance you want whenever you want for however many attempts you decide to give.

Anyways sorry for MY rant but I'm just stating facts as I see them and trying to help. I'm not ungrateful but there is such a thing as constructive critisizm.

why is there a need to trump the previous events ?
not all events have to be as awesome as the rest.

Yes, they did not bring out their big guns for their anniversary, so what ? u can expect these on some different time then.

great events is what made CS stand out from other games and they don't have to be absolutely awesome every time but for the last month they consistently are getting worse and anniversary ones are simply pathetic

Well just give it time and they will get better ?
you can give a little feedback on that people are not entirely happy, but right now its like the whole community is burning down the whole forum complaining.
and it isnt that abd in my opinion.

like i said, there have been better events, but that doesnt mean people can act like this.
im very sure the GM's are trying their hardest to make it fair for everyone.
They might not always succeed on that, but they do their best! and like i also said before, compare this game to other games and u noticed that the GM's and support actually give a damn about their players.

hmm for some reason when I try to edit my post a blank untypable box pops up so I'll just add something here. Bugs are what they are, they are unforseen glitches or mistakes in a program/event. These things happen and are no ones fault. Anyone who thinks they can create something without a mistake 100 out of 100 times should try writing a computer program or two... But at least when an event is bugged it gets fixed or at the very least an attempt is made to fix it even if it means the event is delayed and should not detract from the likability of the event itself.

LMFOA I used play sacred seasons 2(am Xemnas_XIII lvl1156 but whos counting) anyway this is not sacred seasons 2 this is Crystal saga one of the best mmorpg games going so we need good events not bullwabbitsâ„¢ events or people will quit/complain. And idk if that was a threat what R2 said but w/o us R2 you are nothing but then again you guys have already made ur profit off us.

I hated the ones centered around the world boss, when you figure only 2 of each type, excluding plantona, spawn each day, most people were screwed out of the rewards. The higher lvls would kill them just because. You figure 10 people max could claim the prize on 1 world boss. I do like ladder rewards tho, they are fun

From what I have remembered, as of the threads that came in, yes it was the GMUTs. Before Storm put in the level cap, or the max level needed to receive the items... Hmm I suppose it was the GMUTs indeed. MUTs were easy to farm, hence the alts getting battle bears in one day, hence the GMUTs sudden decrease of price. The HWs was affected by this as well I think. (Thank you Capt. Obvious)
